Let me start out by saying that I’m going to say some things that you’re going to dissagree with. I’m cool with that. In fact, that’s kind of how I like it.

Let me just first say that I made three predictions going into last years draft.

#1 Luke Babbit will be a top 10 pick and will have a great rookie year (oops… missed out on that one.

#2 Evan Turner will be a dissapointment in his rookie year (I think it’s safe to say that this was accurate)

#3 (Now the one I’m proudest of) Hassan Whiteside will fall to the mid thirties. (#33 to be exact. I got killed for saying this on this site.)

    Now for this years predictions-

#1 Brandon Knight will have a better rookie year than Kyrie Irving, and will be a better player in the long run (neg me please). When I look at these two guys I see two very talented point guards that have a lot of potential. The difference is that one of the two took a team of freshman to the final four and played healthy the whole year, while the other played 11 games for the previous national championship and only got them to the… wait for it… sweet 16.  Ugh. Knight proved to have a good J, nice quickness, toughness, ball handling, and playmaking. He also proved to be a leader and a big time shot maker. Irving missed nearly the entire season with a toe injury? Wow.  Give me Knight over Irving any day.

#2 Jimmer Fredette will be on of the best 5 players in this draft. There, I said it. He’s going to be good. He might make an all star game or two. Yep.

#3 Bismack Biyombo will go in the top 8 picks.  I wonder how many negs I just got for using his name? In a draft like this one, if a team thinks there is a reasonable chance that this guy can become a Serge Ibaka kind of player, he’s going top 8…. maybe even…. gulp… top 3.

#4 The Wolves will trade Ricky Rubio on draftday. I don’t think Rubio has ever seriously considered playing with the Wolves. I think he’s tired of playing Mr nice guy with David Khan. I think he’s finally going to have his people tell Khan that he’s going to resign in Europe if a trade doesn’t happen. Khan will be forced to trade Rubio.

#5 Jeremy Tyler is going in the top 20. Wait and see.

I agree with you on one of your predictions. Just the first one.

    2. If there was ever a definition for someone being "Jimmer-happy", your picture would be in the dictionary under that word. He is an excellent scorer, but he also plays no defense, and oh yeah he too made it to the sweet 16 just as far as Kyrie Irving made it in the tournament. (yet you project Brandon Knight to be better than Kyrie Irving)

    3. Did you not even read my post in "who will the Jazz pick"? I about ripped your argument to shreds about Bismack Biyombo going in the top 8 let alone the lottery. As a matter of fact I’ll make my own prediction about him. Biyombo will be a lottery pick but also a bust. Before I would have said Perry Jones without but since he decided to stay, (good for him he needed another year) it now goes to Bismack, who shot up the draft boards after a good performance at the Nike Hoop Summit. He shot up from being an unknown and a 2nd rounder to being a lottery pick in as little as a week! How in the world does that happen. I don’t care what you do at the Nike Hoop Summit, doing something like that always causes me concern.

    4. I do think the Wolves will trade the first pick or even the second pick if they get it, but they will not trade Ricky Rubio. Want to know why, because Kahn is infatuated with him. He still believes he will be their savior, and last I checked Rubio has no problems with coming over and playing for the Wolves next year. He even said he would still come over if there was a lockout and the season is shortened. It would be smart for the Wolves to trade Ricky Rubio but I don’t think David Kahn is that smart

    5. Could happen, but I’ll wait until workouts until I start agreeing with you.

I agree with Knights performance this season and how Irving got hurt and didn’t play much. But before Irving was hurt, Irving "looked" to be the NPOY and Duke "looked" to be heading back to the promise land. But you can’t tell me that Irving led Duke to a sweet 16 loss. Nolan Smith led Duke to a sweet 16 loss. It’ll be interesting to see how his toe holds up the rest of his career and how he plays in his rookie season.

I think knight and Irving will be on the same level once all said and done

Jimmer will be either the next adam morrison or jj reddick. Hes not gonna be an allstar

Biyombo will be Hasheem Thabeet 2.0

I see more JJ Reddick in Jimmer but I agree with yours, scottoant93. They seem much more reasonable and not to far fetched like 27 guy’s.  I don’t know what it is with this site and Biyombo. He seems to heralded around on a footstol even though just a few short weeks ago no one knew who he was.

And 27guy, where’s your rebuttle. I basically shot down all of your predictions yet you don’t say a thing back. Come on show some backbone.

the least likely one is the first one though but this statement by Calipari is pretty big to me,since hes coached Derrick Rose, may be old news to people but this opens my eyes. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/212396/Calipari_Lauds_Brandon_Knights_Work_Ethic

Cool predictions.  Idk if number 4 can happen with a lockout, but it might be kosher cuz Rubio has never actually played in the NBA so they would be trading his rights, not him.
