mosdefParticipanthttp://www.mercurynews.com/stanford-cardinal/ci_20728463/warriors-take-look-at-stanfords-josh-owens
the article says he measured out on his vertical at 40.8 (higher then Rudy Gay and Jason Richardson) and had 21 reps on the bench when he worked out for GS. I live on the east coast so can this guy play or is he just a smart dunker, workout wonder?

llperezhe was solid for stanford. maybe their best player last season. Wasnt a reliable go to guy and kinda just played within the flow of the offense and didnt force things. averaged about 12 and 6. Very good athlete and knows his limitations offensively. Only 6-8 so not good size for a big man. Finishes around the paint very well with a nice combination of power and soft touch. not a very good shooter. Role player if he gets a look from the nba. I doubt he gets drafted, but hes an energy guy who might get a shot.

TRC1991Participantseems like a James Singleton clone… you know, josh owens isn’t a phenomenal player by any means but this incredible workout will probably land him in the 2nd round

JoeWolf1A 6’8” supreme athlete is a guy NBA execs tend to take a gamble on at times. I don’t think he’s a lock to get drafted, but now that it’s known he has this kind of length and athletic ability paired, it wouldn’t shock me if he got picked 50-60 as a low risk player who might end up sticking.
Lavoy Allen only averaged 11.6 ppg and 8.6 rpg so I wouldn’t worry about his unimpressive stats when looking at him as a draft pick.

JunkYardDogParticipanthe’s the kind of player who is capable to bring something on the court from day one… the perfect role player (defense, energy, hard work, blue collar guy).
he should be a mid to late 2nd round pick.

benny15ParticipantStanley Robinson of UCON got drafted based on athletic ability alone, and he was a skinny 6’8" small forward. Owens can find himself on a simillar type situation if he can show enough in individual and group work outs that he can contribute in a particular skill better than NBDL players.
