In the beginning of the year this was a big game for Stanford but now its not as big since Butler isn't as good as people thought they were gonna be so far this season. It is still kinda big because its on national TV and that will be a first for these freshmen. Ive watched all of Stanford's games this year and attended more than half and this is what I've seen
The point guard position is very shaky. Mann can't shoot but plays pretty good defense. Not great court vision. Bright can shoot and passes pretty well but makes freshmen mistake and struggles on defense
The shooting guard position is the strongest. Green Jumper is down right deadly. Put one or two defenders in his face and he still hits it. He's averaging about 15 points per game int he second half but starts out slow for some reason. Showing a better ability to get into the paint.Anthony Brown is a future pro. His game is just so smooth, he's a very good shooter and can get to the whole
The Small forward position is strong as well. Dwight Powell starts and ;looks like a natural there. He can hit the mid range or go to the whole and handles it very well for a 6'10 freshman. Huestis plays great defense and rebounds pretty well when he plays but he's starting to get less time because he's settling for shooting jumpers and rarely drives to the bucket. If he doesn't start doing that his time is gonna get cut even more
The power forward position is strong. Josh Owens is nice. 6'9 with BOUNCE. Zimmerman is a good workhorse type big man
The center position is ok. Trotter is a garbage man who does all the lil things
Its getting ugly for Stanford. The same problem they have had most of the season has reared its ugly head today and that would be there lack of offense
The game has gone from ugly to Sam Cassell. Not sure if it can get any worst
this is unwatchable
Funny how he cursed them THEN logged out lol.
Tough loss for Stanford, they are a very young team. He got a little overzealous
Hey, you mighttttt wanna change your name back. Just saying.
Huestis hasn't really turned into the stud we were led to believe either.
who logged out?..and i said Josh would take time before he becomes a big factor. Never mentioned one and done type player.
This seems to be yet another Pac-10 team getting puinished
When I posted that, it said on the site you logged out.
Nope i never logged off. been on here for the whole game
Stanford is pretty bad right now. Maybe its youth and inexperience, but I don't see why you expected them to beat Butler. They are the national runner-ups and they aren't as good as last year, but did you expect them to lose to Stanford truthfully? Shelvin Mack and Matt Howard are better than anyone Stanford has on their roster by themselves.
I would have rather watched Chris Brown punch Rihanna if I wanted to see a b*tch get beat on.. This game is horrible.
I didn't expect them to beat them. I wanted them to beat them because I'm a fan ( cuz of family) that's what people do when they are a fan of a team just like i expect the redskins to beat everyone( hasn't worked out to well this year)
A B*tch?..yeah that might be taking it a tad to far from a person hiding behind made up screen name.
I wasn't referring it to you.
i know you were refering it to the stanford players since they were/are getting beat bad
It's a figure of speech dude, get over yourself.
get overmyself? i don't recall mentioning myself. Just lkeep it real ( or as reall as a person hiding behind a screen name can)
You're the one trying to talk tough through the internet. I didn't mention any single player from Stanford as a b*tch. But Butler made Stanford their b*tch today. I'm sure everyone can agree on that.
I never said one and done, but he barely plays and isn't producing when he does. I think your expectations for him coming into the season and for his career were too high.
How exactly is my expectations for his career too high?..for the season yeah but for his career?..that makes no sense seeing as his career just started. He's producing on defense every game but he isn't producing on offense
His career just started so I say give it a chance.
But like I said before, tough to predict.
Pac 10 player of the year seems a little high to me, for someone who doesn't really play. I'm not trying to hate, just saying. If he wins it, I'll own up to it.
Very tough. Just like Landry when he first came to Stanford and didn't do much. All of the Freshmen have very good potential on this team and will get better. Just gonna take some time. This is a rebuilding year. Josh was starting before fracturing a bone that foot and plays a Lil timid ever since when it comes to offense and he needs to snap out of it if he wants to get his spot and minutes. I like that Coach Dawkins is gonna make him earn it though instead of just giving it to him
Pac-10 player of the year as a freshman?..i dont recall ever saying that
I can agree with that.
