but how many have seen some of there episodes??

im really skeptical of there facts

i was watching a segment about tony gonzalez on espn and they said he hits the opponet at 2,000 lbs. of force

i highly doubt this… this is just an example

If you think about the actual numbers, it’s not that crazy. I mean, 2000 pounds of force is nothing if you really think about it. A 160 pound guy can easily leg press 1000 pounds. factor in the fact that Gonzalez is more like 250 pounds plus running plus using other muscles in the body and supposedly concentrating all of the momentum into a hard shoulder pad, 2000 lbs of force isn’t that crazy.

ive seen it a few times and it looks like they just put up a lot of simple numbers up there to make the math and numbers look nice and easy. i doubt the accuracy of a lot of it but it is somewhat interesting.

Tli is correct, 2000 lbs of force is a plausible number for a NFL player to deliver. After doing a little physics all the FB player needs to do is to push off from rest hard enough to accelerate him to about 20 mph. Which has been done before. It is not exactly a number to scoff at but it has been done.

Sports Science isn’t using just average guys. They use trained pro athletes.
