Did anyone notice the cut ins to both coaches during the timeouts yesterday?

When they cut to Miami, it was like this….

"Well, we have to get rebounds. We have to rebound the ball better and stop them from getting offensive boards." -Spoelstra

When they went to the Bulls, it was like this….

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! LET"S GO!!!!!!!! COME ON!!!! ROSE, START ATTACKING! ASIK, STAY STRAIGHT UP! BOOZER, D-UP!! LET’S GO GUYS!"

Thibs has a constant sore throat and gets in his players faces.

One is a coach, one is just a guy with a good seat.

Haha I completely agree with you.

I think that’s the way coaching should be, most people you have to light a fire under their a$$ so they perform to their capabilities. As a player this was always the type of coach I loved having.

There are a number of ways to coach/manage in any sports often some players need different sorts of treatment some respond better to a softly softly approach, others need a kick up the backside. Often a lot of coaching units do the good cop/bad cop routine.

But Tibs did have great fire and probably does inspire his players more!

The rebounding and defense last night was superb.  The Bulls played tough D on LeBron and Wade and let Bosh try to beat them.  Deng played great and Gibson might be the Bulls’ best power forward.  But the Boozer/Gibson combo is great.  Noah played inspired basketball as usual.

Call me crazy but Wade and LeBron might peak a lot earlier than many think.  I think that Wade is at his peak RIGHT NOW and LeBron will possibly peak next year, or he might also be peaking now.  Those two guys really have to dominate games.  Last night they just couldn’t do it against Bogans, Deng, and Brewer.  Not sure if they were tired or if it was the defense, but the Heat need great production from those two guys.

The Bulls knew what they had to do: rebound, defend, contain Wade and LeBron, let Rose be Rose, and get inspired play off the bench.  The Bulls did that and even withstood a great game by Chris Bosh.

Taj Gibson posterized the Heatle’s mystique…

Phil screams at his players during timeouts……a lot. And he always sounds like his throat is sore as well.

Phil is an exception, the man shouldn’t have to yell at the amazing teams hes had. He’s never coached a losing team, lowest win total in a season that he coached was 42 wins.

DanEboy.. I don’t know who you’re trying to lie to..  I watch 70ish Laker games a season and you’re gunna try to tell me Phil screams at his players a lot?  Cmon man… Nobody believes that..

Considering the title of his book is "Sacred Hoops: Spiritual Lessons of a Hardwood Warrior", I don’t think he yells much Lol

Spoelstra is in over his head. He has the players, but he has no clue how to utilize them to outcoach the Thibs’ Bulls. The Bulls are winning this series simply because they are outcoaching the Heat.

During timeouts Phil yells, not during game action where he sits calmly on the bench. Maybe not so much with the Lakers, but he always did with the Bulls.
