Toronto16ParticipantIf you are a Nets fan, indentify yourself now. I don’t want to hear a bunch of band wagon hoppers say "I was always a fan!!!" when they get Dwight like Heat "fans" did when they got Lebron James.

For_Never_EverParticipantI’m a fan of Deron Williams. I believe he is the best PG in the league. Yeah over CP3 in my opinion.

TyroberParticipantNever really been a fan so I will starting rooting against them if they get Dwight. Dwight really has lost some fans lately including myself.

terrancebowerParticipantI’m an NBA fan no matter what, each year I root for all 30 teams to get better and follow pretty much every player out there, however it makes me sick when players use their crybaby antics to force trades or try to round up an instant contender like Miami did. Say what you will about Boston but at least they did it through trades rather than sheer luck and letting their players do all the GM’s work for him. IMO, I would think that truly great players would want to dominate other players they see as great. IE Derrick Rose was against a huge free agent coming into Chicago in 2010 because he is a real competitor. Sure, he’d have loved to see Dwyane Wade or LBJ join the team, but not nearly as much as he would enjoy beating either of them in head to head matchups. Kobe wants to show the Heat that he’s still KING and remind them who has the rings. I love that attitude. If Dwight cries his way into Brooklyn they’ll be a sick team to watch but I’ll be hoping for them to be upset in the playoffs every year just as I do with the Heat. I’d rather see a team build around Williams Johnson Wallace Lopez and either Humphries or whoever else they sign/draft in the future as their long term PF…. hate bandwagon jumpers, I’ve been a diehard Minny fan since KG-Cassell-Spree-Szczerbiak… and although the last 8 seasons have sucked, it feels great to see them get better with a great core in place, that’s why you can never give up on a team if you’re a REAL FAN.

Meditated StatesParticipantSTAR team up is boring. Guys are no longer competitive. They want the easy way out. They don’t want to destroy the best they want to join them.

sheltwon3ParticipantI am a bandwagon fan yea Brooklyn is the best. We can beat anybody we don’t need a bench yea. I could not tell you the line up of my team but yeah I support them and will buy some Jersey to prove it. My support can come at any time and if we lose I will say I wa never a fan yea lol
I am a Lakers fan and I aprove this message lol.
If Brooklyn gets Howard, they will be good but they need to have a bench and will take time to gel. Also they have a 3 or 4 year window considering a lot of their guy are over 30. I guess I can see them winning 1 or 2 rings in that span but next year is Lakers. Also I also believe at some point OKC will get Oden who will be healthy and help them get their ring.

TheBigEasyParticipant@ Scout4real: I know what you mean, but what about the old Lakers and Celtics teams? They had numerous Hall Of Famers on those teams (okay the league wasn’t as watered down like it’s now with all the expansions).

TallmanNYCParticipantI’m from Brooklyn and live not that far from the Barclay Center. I’ve got the season ticket pricing list open on my computer right now. Tickets are expensive, but I can swing it for the cheap seats. I haven’t decided which way to jump though. Generally like to watch basketball games from a lot closer to the action. Anyway, I’m getting tickets one way or another. It might be full season in the rafters or it might be a mini-package of Friday night games or something like that.
Now if they pull off the Howard trade, then dammmn! Those tickets are going to sell out fast! I’m nervous about not pulling the trigger and the Howard trade going down. I was on the phone with the office today and they said they were crazy busy.
As a New Yorker, I’ve been a Net fan, but after the Knicks. Knicks were just so hard to watch for so long, I ended up watching more Net games, especially when they had Kidd. Kidd is one of my favorite players.
