 Okay, I have some things I’d like to get off my chest.

1. Why don’t you guys respond? Topics with the worst trade ideas or some off topic opinions always get attention, while mine are almost always about the NBA and get two responses on a good day. Are you telling me that I have to post something stupid just to get a discussion going? Im not crying for attention, I just want to discuss some nba. Why else would I post on this site?

2. Speaking of stupid trades, why are these stupid trades allowed? I understand that we all have a freedom of speech, but im tired of seeing the forum polluted with them. Can’t we at least get a stupud trade idea section on this site?

3. Where the haters at? Seriously though, if you disagree say something, don’t just hide behind you mouse and give me a thumbs down. I know some guys are too shy to say something to someone they probably will never meet in real life and they’re too afraid that they’ll be assasinated for disagreeing, but lets be real. The most common posters on this site are jerks and dbags and internet forums bring out these qualities in the most modest of people, so most of you have no excuses.

Some random things and honestly, I know a lot of guys will still not respond, still post dumb trade ideas, and still give the thumbs down, but at least i got it off my chest.

The thing is, some things don’t warrent comments. But your post yesterday definitely should have warrented more attention. Somtimes there isn’t anything to be said. I don’t give many negs, but I try to give positves where it is deserved. Try to ask a question at the end of a thread to get more response.

As far as your post, the only one i’ve seen recently was the Lockout one which you posted yesterday, and I read it in its entirety, great write-up, and I thought you had great views and ideas concerning the situation. As far as a response I didnt know what to say…it was a great ‘article, i read it, and that was that.

As far as stupid trades, I think the entire "sane" population would agree with you as far as they shouldnt be allowed, but they’re is no rule against it…so theirs nothing that we can do. I guess you have a point BUT MikeyV and other users also mentioned ideas like the day that the lockout became official. So that topic had been done before. Topic before that was around draft time and it you asked a question on the lines of "Do you select the best player or what your team needs?".. Again, a good question and only one response. And my reasoning, well to be honest, that question has been asked a million times before that. And before that, your forum question was about why LeBron wasn’t going anywhere! Which was posted a year ago. And I know, I’ve seen you contribute to forums by answering questions. But I wouldn’t get mad if no one responds. I’m just trying to be honest and most people will not spend time on questions that have been asked. If the question was asked in a different way or you are talking about something no one ever heard, then you will get a ton of output and a good discussion.

 I don’t want to make this just about me. These were the things that I felt were bothering others as well. 

I get the idea from most of you that my posts are bland or have been done before, and while i do agree that my posts aren’t flashy, this site is filled with recycled stuff. Are you telling me a top 10 nba list is fresh and new? Hell no! But it’ll probably get more responses than this one.

I think the biggest issue about stupid trades is how much attention they get. This issue is much bigger than this site, it affects most of society as well. There is this idea that the worse something is, the more attention it gets, the more popular it becomes, the better it gets. Jersey Shore, Soulja Boy, Charlie Sheen, Rebecca Black the list goes on and on. I won’t fight society, but i will say this to you guys. If it’s bad, ignore it. I’m tired of people making celebrities and superstars out of scrubs and idiots. And i’m definitely tired of guys wasting their time responding to stupidity.

@symbol, I have an idea for what you’re trying to tell me. I think trade ideas should have their own folder with limited space, so the ones with the most negs get the boot, but what about what youtube does for its comments. Once you receive a certain number of negative points, a topic gets flagged, not deleted, just something to know what you’re getting into. That’ll solve the stupid trades problem or any stupid post for that matter.

First of all, your concerns have all been expressed here a countless amount of times. Nobody likes dumb trade ideas. So what? We should just outlaw trade discussions? Tell people not to be idiots? You suggested creating another forum, well there is actually an "NBA Forum" in existence. The problem is that nobody ever responds to the topics there, so people flock to the "NBA Draft Forum" and spam it with their seemingly endless amount of facepalm-worthy trade proposals. It’s easy to simply choose not to read a topic that doesn’t have appeal to you. That solution has helped me avoid digesting unhealthy amounts of stupidity.

Secondably, the term "hater" is lame and freakishly outdated. People toss that term around way too much and basically use it to describe anyone who doesn’t agree with them. How about we come up with a semi-educated word to describe people who abuse the "thumbs down" feature without providing any feedback at all? Maybe "Down-Thumbing No Feedback Pansies". DTNFP for short.

And C: off-topic silliness is what makes this forum great. You may not think much of the people who hype Lil’ B, make John Bryant jokes and post a ton of gifs; but a lot of us really enjoy that kind of stuff. It gives our boards a nice charm that you certainly wouldn’t find on many of the uptight sports-based websites.

Lastly — and I’m just curious — do you see the irony in this topic you’ve created? The Rebecca Black analogy is magnificent considering I had absolutely no idea who you were before you posted this non-basketball related topic, in which you criticize the notoriety that society gives to people that violate or threaten the normal perception of order (in Rebecca’s case, pop culture and in our case, intelligent basketball debate).

Regardless, I hope to see more of you around here. Lead the charge! Set a good example! I would welcome you to the site, but it would appear as though you’ve been around for a while.
