1.) MVP – LeBron James – Narrative sets for him to win this award; Runner Ups: Kawhi Leonard, Giannis/John Wall

2.) DPOY – Rudy Gobert; Runner Ups: Draymond Green, Kawhi Leonard

3.) M.I.P – Gary Harris – The most underrated player in the league, should get more national press; Runner Ups: Justise Winslow, Aaron Gordon

4.) R.O.Y – Ben Simmons – Blake Griffin like rookie year, no rookie will be close; Runner Ups: Markelle Fultz, Dennis Smith Jr.

5.) C.O.Y – Scott Brooks- Should take a major leap in the win column; Runner Ups: Billy Donovan

    Bold Predictions:

1.) Kyle Kuzma starts by the trade deadline, Larry Nance or Julius Randle gets traded

2.) Cavs nor the Celtics will be the number one seed in the eastern conference

3.) Bradley Beal becomes an All-Star

4.) Clippers, Jazz, and Heat takes a tumble

5.) Joel Embiid players 60+ games.

I think even is his #’s are podestrian, Ball will have the hype/media machine pushing for him to get ROY.

Simmons jumper is a problem, this league is very Shooter dependent.. I can’t see Simmons winning ROY, his jumper couldn’t hit the wet spot on a 5000 pound pussy.

Saw Simmons shoot free throws yesterday for the first time. How does a coach not teach someone to bend their knees at all on free throws. Was just an upper body slingshot. Shot 2/6 and looked like a Deandre Jordan-esque 33% ft shooter.

And how is it that Lebron wins the MVP but the Cavs can’t finish 1st in the weakest eastern conference of the last decades¿?

Scott Brooks won’t win COTY since the Wiz won 49 games last year and I don’t think they won’t improve that much. I could see Thibs, Mike Malone or even Quin Snyder winning it this season.

The only thing I strongly disagree with is that the Heat and Jazz will tumble. When teams are that locked in on D night in and night out, it’s almost impossible to not win 40 games.

And it’s not like these teams have no scoring punch. The Heat have all-around scorers in Dragic and Waiters, good shooters surrounding them and Whiteside cleaning up underneath. The Jazz are similar, the scoring will be more by committee but they have a top playmaker and all their main guys can pass and move without the ball.

Other than that I agree with all your predictions or have no opinion (I mean, Kuzma, who knows?)

     Nice job

I think there will be some good rookies along with Kuzma. I agree that Lonzo Ball will get a ROY push, but I think Simmons is unique and will win comfortably. The others I think that will impress early are Tatum and Theis in Boston,  as well as Bogdanovic in Sacto.

Ok I’ll make some predictions that are actually bold –

*Rockets don’t gel but scrape into the West playoffs

*Steve Clifford Coach of the Year

    *Bosh returns

*Daniel Theis makes an all rookie team

*Ben Simmons gets a triple double before Lonzo Ball

Aaron Gordon gets traded by the deadline so Orlando can build around Jonathan Isaac.

Ooo I actually really like this bold prediction. I can definitely see this happening especially if Gordon doesn’t show much improvement in his all-around game and Isaac puts up a consistent 10+ points a game and 5+ rebounds a game.

Lamarcus Aldridge and Pop get into a fist fight because Aldridge is the first player in pops reign that doesn’t believe in what the spurs are doing

Nah, there was Stephen Jackson before him … and I don’t think LaMarcus is that much of a thorn in Pop’s side …

Nice predictions but they certainly aren’t bold.
