We will draft Ross with the Iguadola pick(WARRIORS or Raptors) and then target a PF with the 15th pick…

    http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/deep-sixer/Sixers-to-work-out-five-big-men-Saturday-Teague-on-.html

"After the Sixers take a look at Kentucky point guard Marquis Teague on Friday at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Saturday will be dedicated to taking a look at guys that this draft is believed to be heavy-leaden with.

    Big men.

Beginning Saturday morning, the Sixers will bring in 6-11 Arnett Moultrie (Mississippi State), 7-0 Tyler Zeller (North Carolina), 6-11 Perry Jones (Baylor), 6-10 John Henson (North Carolina) and 6-10 Andrew Nicholson (St. Bonaventure).

There is a higher probability that if the Sixers keep the 15th pick in the draft and don’t trade it that, of the players they have brought in, there eventual pick could come from this group."

For those Sixers fans and draft watchers who were concerned about them not working out big guys.

I have them taking Moultrie in my mock, I also think if Henson is available he’d be a good pick. I don’t think Zeller will be available at this point. PJ3 & Nicholson might be a bit of a reach at this point also.

We have deals in place with The Warriors and The Raptors and we’ve also been in talks with The Kings for the 5th pick and John Salmons(who we would be buying out if he were to be included in the trade)…

The Kings, The Warriors and Raptors all had their eyes on Barnes and MKG, with both players likely to be gone and The Jones’s not being all too impressive at The Kings/Warriors workouts, teams that are looking for Sf’s have been calling us non stop for Iggy, Thad and even Evan Turner…

Turner is untouchable, coach Collins loves Thad as a fringe starter/6th man…Iguadola is the leader of our Team but many people inside the Organization feel its Jrue and Evan’s team going forward…

Iguadola will be traded for 1 of these packages

John Salmons and the 5th pick(If Barnes and MKG are unavailable)

Dorrell Wright and the 7th Pick(See Above)

    or

Aamir Johnson, Ed Davis and the 8th Pick(They have Jonas V who would count as their draft pick)

Either of those teams would be greatly improved by adding Iguadola…

The Sixers plan on Drafting Terrence Ross(5th-8th) and the Best PF available at 15th, they will also resign Allen and Hawes and let Lou Williams leave in Free Agency…We fell in love with Terrence Ross when we worked him out…whichever Pf we fall in love with is the player we are drafting…

When Brand leaves next year we will have Allen, Hawes, Vucevic and the 15th pick on the frontline…Brand will help get these guys develop downlow , especially the 15th pick who will become our starting Pf next season…

Holiday, Turner, Thad Young and Terrence Ross will be on the wings…we may also look at Pg’s with the 45th and 54th picks, be on the look out for Malik Wayns or Dominic Cheeks with those picks…2 Local guys that fill a team need late in the 2nd round…

If he can get stronger and tougher inside he can become the steal off the draft…

The Sixers do like Moultrie but he’s a lot like another former Sixer Marresse Speights, except Arnett has a better motor, I however think Speights was a better offensive player at the same stage…He is certainly an option obviously, but they could also be bringing in Royce White and Andrew Nicholson, who are tough interior players already…

Moultrie, Jones III and Henson all fit the mold of atheletic Forwards that can run and gun with these young 76ers

Hawes and Vucevic are solid 7 footers and Allen can do some of the dirty work at Pf/C ala Elton Brand…

An athletic Pf with some shot blocking ability makes the most sense but I don’t like Henson that much and believe he may have risen up Draft Boards and won’t even be available…Moultrie could be the guy if we feel like Jones III can’t be developed as a PF…Nicholson and White remain my Dark Horse picks there too although they may not be shot blockers…

Jones III will be the pick if he impresses Collins/Thorn and company Today, he may look like another former Sixer Tim Thomas to some people but he could be a better Eddie Griffin or a Lamarcus Aldridge lite..which would be fine for the 15th in the Draft…

Bro everything you said is exactly correct.

When we trade up we are targeting Terrence Ross and looking into Arnett Moultie or Perry Jones with the 15. I believe we will do the deal with Toronto, however our power foward situation would be a little out of wack. If we have Arnett/Perry, Lavoy Allen, Ed Davis and Thad Young. Thats a log jam for four developing PF’s. I wonder if Ed Davis can play center and he could splitt time with Nic V.

But @LegandaryPoster how did you know that we were targeting Ross with the 7/8th pick? Just from Sixers.com and how much they praised him?

Lou Williams opting out of the final year of his 5 year/45 million dollar contract has set up The Iguadola Trade quite frankly…He also wants a deal close to what Thad just signed last year…42 million dollars over 5 yrs for a 6’2 Sg when we have Ross in our crosshairs…That’s just Crazy, and the 76ers are not doing it…

Lou has been a long time fan favorite but they did not want to continue paying him 6 million plus in salary and him deciding to opt out and test the waters just saved us 6 million in cap space to Resign Spencer Hawes…Iguadola is also another long time Sixer that has been in and out of favor in Philly for years…He has played his way into All Star status and Teams are as interested in his talents as ever, Evan Turner does a lot of the same things as Iggy and is still on his rookie contract, moving Iggy free’s up money next year and puts the ball in Turner’s hands as a point forward…

There are a lack decent Centers and Hawes is still only 24 or 25 and has more room to grow…If he’s healthy he’s a very solid starting Center and he shouldn’t cost more than 6 to 8 million a year(Kwame Brown got 7 million last year) So I wouldn’t mind paying Hawes 6 to 8 million over the next 4 to 5 years…Worst case scenario is you trade a very good center down the line if it doesn’t work out…

Resigning Hawes is the biggest Immediate need. he provides size and a decent outside shot…He was also getting tougher on the inside and could still Improve in the defensive area…

There is no shortage of good scoring Guiards in this draft…You have the likes of Austin Rivers and Dion Waiters who are going to go high, then you could find some other guys later like Doron Lamb or Marquis Teague(who I feel is a combo Guard ala Lou Williams, I guess you could say the same about Lilliard)

We have clearly began looking at Sg’s in the Draft, with Lou Williams and Jodi Meeks becoming free agents and Evan Turner possibly sliding to SF when we trade Iguadola(To the Warriors for the 7th pick IMO)

Terrence Ross came into town and Instantly became the 76ers # 1 target to start in between Holiday and Turner at Sg…Ross can spread the floor perfectly and defend the way Collins like to, man to man…He’s a legit 6’7 and has a connection to Spencer Hawes(which should make resigning him all the more easier)

Ross is bigger than Lou Will and Jodi, and he provides a little bit of both players best attributes(Lou’s slashing, Jodi’s 3 point shooting)

Coach Collins and his assistant Micheal Curry were heard raving about Terrence Ross several times and feel like he could become the # 1 scoring option in Philadelphia…He fits in perfectly on both ends of the court and the Sixers were one of the 1st Teams to really take a serious interest in Ross…

They are the Team that opened up the other NBA GM’s eyes to Ross’s potential…Teams like Portland and New Orleans began looking at Ross instead of Jeremy Lamb and the Waiters/Rivers coin flip…

Philadelphia will not let the player they most covet get away and are prepared to trade Iguadola to the Warriors or Raptors(A division rival) to get the job done…people will think Ross is a reach in the top 10 but not for a Team that feels he is the perfect Sg in their system like the 76ers…

The Sixers are bringing in the Pf group that is most likely to be around at 15…And are ready to take a chance and draft the potential Guy…But if a BPA like Sullinger or Henson is there and they like how he fits in long trem then they’ll draft that player…

People have been getting down on PJIII and I still feel like he’s a player that would be great in Philadelphia at Pf…He can spread the floor for Holiday and Turner along with Hawes…The combo of PJIII and Hawes would be long and talented, but I do worry about their toughness inside, although Brand could help them both in that area in his final season, Lavoy Allen looks like a good glue guy too and could do the dirty work…They could also draft PJIII’s Baylor teammate Quincy Acy at 45 to help with interior toughness…

I’m not surprised to see Terrence Ross’ stock rising as Draft day approaches because of his projected ability to play two positions at the NBA level — SG and SF.  Pure scoring wing, aggressive defender too.  Was considered a mid-first round pick, but now some mocks project him as a mid-lottery pick going as high as #7 to Golden State.  I actually think he’d be a great fit on the Warriors as he and Klay Thompson would be interchangeable parts at SG and SF (both are 6’7"), but the Warriors are hot for Andre Iguodala and just might trade the rights to Ross for Iggy.

    Terrence Ross 6’7" 197 lbs.

    NBA comparison:  Michael Finley

At #15, I think the Sixers choose the best available big forward from among 6’11" Arnett Moultrie, 6’9" Terrence Jones, 6’9" Jared Sullinger, 6’11" Perry Jones and 6’10" Andrew Nicholson.

I like where the LEGENDARY POSTER is going with this. Iggy played well with some big plays in the playoffs but it is time for him to go. Turner and Holiday are the current future of the team and the quicker they step into the leadership roles the better. I am a big fan on Ross but am surprised that Philly likes him over Waiters. Especially since Dion is from Philly and they scored on another Philly native in Lavoy Allen last year. I think a lot of the 2 guards in this draft are pretty closely matched but Ross appears to be the most complete player of the bunch.

At #15 my list would be ilke cyclo’s without Nicholson and that is only because I haven’t seen him play enough to feel comfortable taking him 15th.

1.PJ3- Sixers need a player with big upside to take down the powers that be in the east

    2. Terrance Jones- Similar to Thad Young but I think he is a little bigger and stronger. Him and Thad would be a good mix of verstile players at the 3/4 positions.

    3. Moultrie- A lot of mocks have the sixers taking him and he is a solid big athletic guy which is just what the Sixers need

    4. Sullinger- Another potential risk but if he turns into what people thought he would be last year he could be a huge steal for somebody.
