Dario is not athletic enough to match up with Brown and Tatum.  Ilyosova is on a cruise somewhere and Ben Simmons has reverted back to his play in the middle portion of the year when he REFUSED TO TAKE THE BALL TO THE RACK…When you play like a puss you get punked.

You gotta have more faith in your team. Simmons, Embiid, Saric and Covington are playoff rookies playing on the road vs. Boston a well coached playoff team. You cant actually be surprised they lost 1 game. Even if they lose tonight cant lose faith until they lose on the road.

It’s not like the Cs have a ton of playoff experience.

This is Larkin’s, Ojeleye’s, and Tatum’s first year in the playoffs.

This is Brown’s and Rozier’s first year starting and playing significant minutes in the playoffs.

This is only Morris’ second time in the playoffs — the first was with the Pistons a few years ago (first round loss). It’s only Moose’s second time — his first was last year (first round loss).

Baynes, Horford, and Smart are the only players in the Cs rotation with significant playoff experience.

On the other side, the Sixers have Reddick, Bellinelli, Johnson, and Illyasova in their rotation who all have significant playoff experience.

Round 2 only down 6 on the road as bad as theyve played. Should be feeling good about your young team here.

Milwaukee looked like they were done after the first 2 games in Boston, then look what happened.

Fultz is gonna have to rejoin the rotation in game 3. They need the spark and someone who can break down the defense on the 2nd unit.

I get not playing him on the road. If he had a bad game it could’ve really shaken his confidence. But in front of the home crowd, he has to play.

Fultz isn’t breaking down anyone or thing against a playoff team. There’s a reason he’s been glued to the bench.

Simmons with 1 point in a big game 2 on the road, ouch. He’s still going to be great, but maybe the next Lebron, next face of the league may be a bit too much for now.

Simmons has always struck me as a guy who buys his own press clippings. Having an entire year to work on your game and coming back with NOTHING you didn’t have before the injury is a huge red flag.

Simmons game is built for the regular season, not the playoffs. In the regular season there is alot more up and down. The playoffs are more in the halfcourt. Against a good defensive team, Simmons and his atrocious lack of shooting became painfully obvious.

Scoring a single point??? For someone who people say is a generational type player, that was a joke.

    Simmons! Fultz! Simmons! Fultz! Lol.

He needed to come out for a breather, but he should have gone right back in. The Sixers collapsed when T.J. McConnell came out of the game.

I’ll bet five grand they don’t get swept.

The first and most obvious is Brad stevens vs Brett brown… As I say to most people a good coach can make a team outperform expectations(Also see utah sans G.Hayward with Snyder). Brett brown hasn’t been this deep in the playoffs before and Stevens has a thicker playbook…So this already puts the 76ers at a slight disadvantage.

However the two things they can control.

Ben simmons being aggressive-If he isn’t they will be swept…If he is they will at least try make the games competitive.

Markelle Futlz getting burn/minutes. The thing with him is this even if he plays bad now they need him to be on the court to give them a different look as the current one isn’t fully working. Futlz may help space the floor a little. The worst case scenario at least it will give him some experience for next season and he picks his game up then..

But don’t get me wrong you have got to give props to the Celtics for maximizing their current players.

Honest question, but when was the last time a player scored one point or less in playoff with 30 minutes? That seem just absurd

Without doing any research at all. I’m gonna think a Bull might have done it in the Jordan years Rodman, Longley, Purdue???

Certainly wouldn’t surprise if someone like Haslem did it in somewhat more recnt times.

I remember Horace Grant did it, he couldn’t make a shot and hit a free throwsin the dying minutes, celebrating as if to say thank you God .. mid 90s, can’t remember if it was for the Bulls or Magic

Even if they gey swept. They have had a helluva year.

You gotta be proud. Teams like the Kings & Lakers have been bad for aslond as the 76ers where, but neither are close to being anle to do what Philly has done this year!

    Its been a good year!

They need to up the tempo and be scoring 115-125 a game.  Sixers won’t beat a lot of teams scoring 100 and running 1/2 court sets.  Too easy to game plan around with a non shooting point and a few other guys who only do 1 thing well on offense (Covington)

Boston can play uptempo or slow down a game but Philly have experienced guys on their roster and with Embiid on court they always have a game changer.

Don’t forget that only two years ago they were a 10 win team and they are now a 54 win team with a PG who cannot shoot and a number 1 draft pick who cannot shoot either and doesn’t hardly play!

If they get those two sorted they will be scarily good.

Plus Brett Brown lead them top a series win over Spol’s Heat and he is a top level coach!

Brad Stevens is a top level coach.  So there must be a level below where Brett Brown resides.  I would put him on the Mike D’Antoni level… Good system coach but when you run into a team who forces you to make adjustments then you are screwed and you usually get swept.  My prediction is this will happen to the Sixers again next year and then Brown will be replaced.

Like players, coaches improve with experience. Brown has never been in the playoffs before. It’s new to him so you’d expect some coaching growing pains. Will be important to see how Brown coaches in game three and how Simmons (hopefully) bounces back.

It’s a shame to see Ben being so offensively passive. He stopped looking for his own shot which is crazy as he’s so critical to the 76ers offense. He only attempted four shots. I think he just had a bad game and I expect he bounces back in Game 3.

& that entire young Phila nucleus

What would worry me Much more if I’m a Sixers fan is that you have a Major problem at GM

When Hinkie took over he had basically No Draft picks & No salary cap space –

Colangelo took over & he’s had Five 1st Rnd picks & Six – 2nd Rnd picks in 2 Drafts

Obviously Ben Simmons was a No Brainer – but the other 4 – 1st Rnd picks were Fultz, Luwawu, Korkmaz & Paseknic

Here are some of the players he passed on: Josh Jackson, Dejounte Murray, Malcolm Brogden & Kyle Kuzma

That’s just a few names – there are many other who were really solid Athletic Back Up level PG’s & Wings

That Sixers team has No athleticism outside of Simmons & Embiid – Literally No one else in that Very short rotation can dribble penetrate or Defend:  JJ Reddick, TJ McConnell, Marco Belinelli, Ersan Ilyasova, Dario Saric & even Robert Covington has looked Terrible

How do u have That many Draft picks & all that Cap space & U put a team together that basically has No bench, No perimeter Defense –

Boston looks Great & the Celtics deserve a Ton of Credit but I don’t understand why talking heads are going after Brown – he’s got an 8 man rotation & 5 of those 8 can’t Defend Anyone in Space

Simmons I think is not that type of player yet.  Or not in the same sentence lebron was before. I dont remember lebron with one point in a playoff game.  He had single digit but not this.  And comparing him to lebron is not that good for me. Lebron was never this so passive.  He has off nights but not like this. Hes more of a passer a facilitator than a takeover type of a player.  Hes like rondo

That’s probably because Ben and lebron are not even in the same stratosphere as being compared! You may have heard someone else compare them but be smart enough to know that is ridiculous!

The Simmons Lebron comparison isn’t about how Lebron plays now, but rather what he was like coming into the league. When Lebron came into the league he was much more of a facilitator than he was a scorer or a takeover type player. To compare Ben to Lebron’s game today is without a doubt a poor comparison.

From his high school days to what he is now, lebron has taken over games by scoring in bunches but can also facilitate. Simmons can facilitate but in no way is he remotely like lebron was in regards to scoring the ball
