holefillers1ParticipantAnyone else watching this? Simmons is on triple double watching the first half.

RUDEBOY-ParticipantI’m at the Memphis-Kings game. Looked up at the scoreboard and saw the Cavs trailing by 23 at halftime. Decided to checkout the box score online and see Lebron is also close to getting a triple double and Fultz looking like he’s starting to regain some explosiveness. Cavs really need a consistently 3rd scorer to step up.

Lotto StudParticipantEven if he doesn’t and defers to others, he will be chewed up by naysayers. His best bet is to go with what he knows best and do it himself.

Lotto StudParticipantFor the Sixers to fight this battle without Embiid’s presence is very commendable. Saric said that he didn’t want to have to face LeBron in the playoffs, but I highly doubt he would want to compete against this team with a healthy Embiid.

OhCanada-ParticipantThe young guys on this Cavs team still do not like to play on the road. Philly just moved into 3rd place and Cavs 4th. 13 wins straight for Philly. All I remember was Sixers fans bashing this team earlier in the season lmao.

EndlessknightParticipantWhen did Sixers fans bash this team!?! I remember a bunch of know it all on this board bashing the them, I remember you making countless dumbass “Fuktz is a bust threads” but I don’t remember a single Sixers fan bashing this team.

OhCanada-ParticipantI dont think Fultz is a bust but he shouldnt have gone first. Im not blaming anyone either because he was pretty much a consensus 1st overall pick. Hes a project. If that makes him a bust then so be it. Sixers would have been wise to not trade up and just draft Dennis Smith Jr.Sizers cant have Fultz, Simmons and Embiid and expect to win in crunchtime as Fultz/Simmons cant shoot and Embiid is 7’2 easy too trap. Ball goes to Embiid trap him make him kick it out to Simmons or Fultz problem solved.

SlickBouncePassParticipantwhat other bold claims are you going to make after the fact? that Lebron James is pretty good? That he’s won 3 chips?
"In my opinion Fultz should not have gone first….as a matter of fact you know that Jason Tatum I always knew he should be the first pick"
Nobody was hating on the Sixers we were just being critical of the team for its shortcomings. Nobody hated on Fultz if they watched him at all in college, and for those that doubted Fultz like you and some Sixers fans…they’re dumb.
Fultz can shoot if you saw him in college. If an injury happened AFTER summer league, then it did. But NO WAY prior to Summer League, did you think he should not be at least in the first pick conversation. If you foresaw his shot getting screwed up, and knew he might be a headcase then you’re a genius. If you think he was injury prone and htat would lead to a scapular dyskinesia because he is injury prone, then use your power of prophecy on some lottery tickets and go win buddy.
Everyone on here is a genius after the fact. Real philly sixers fans that have been on here, nobody laughs at the injuries. You patiently persevere and hope for hte best, knowing Colangelo is still untrustworthy but he’s done a nic job getting them to #3.
Also, Hinkie got lucky at a certain point. That whole process thing, is a lot of luck. This could be Parker, Okafor, Noel, and Dragan Bender for all we know. It could be the Magic.
To have Embiid fall into your hands and have the first pick with Ben Simmons available, you don’t find beasts like that, they fall into your lap.
Plenty of teams have had several top 5 picks several years in a row, and you don’t find two unicorns and a perfectly good complimentary guard in Fultz. If you doubt Fultz, watch him leave Jordan Clarkson absolutely helpless yesterday. He has shown potential in spurts. I have faith Fultz will get his shot back and he’ll be hitting 3s as well. If not, he’ll be the best backup PG in the league and I’m fine with that.

OhCanada-ParticipantJust stating the facts not claiming to be a "genius". I was being called out for my critisism on Fultz but all Ive ever said about Fultz is he isnt playing at a level a 1st overall pick should be playing at, he wasnt still injured shot was just broken and he would return when he can shoot. No bold statements really you Philly fans just love defending Fultz even when hes not being bashed. I actually like what Ive seen from Fultz and think even without the three point shot he can become the PG version of Demar Derozan as his midrange game seems to be back.

EndlessknightParticipantYou’re to quick to judge a 19 year old player coming off an injury. And yes the injury itself probably long since healed but a jumpshot is all muscle memory and confidence. It’s obvious that the injury to his shoulder cost him both.
But despite the issues Fultz still has higher FG% than Ball, Smith Jr., Ntilikina or Monk and practically the same as Fox (.408 vs .410). Last year Fultz shot 40% from the college 3 on high volume. I have no doubt he will regain his shot.
And while his jumpshot is MIA all the rest of his game as been as good as advertised, in fact his passing has been even better. He’s averaging 7.1 assist PER36, higher than college, with a 3.1 assist/to ratio. The guy gets to the rim at will. Amazing for 19 year old.
Fultz was the 2nd youngest player drafted in the first round in 2017, over 2 full years younger than everyone’s darling Donovan Mitchell, and given how well he’s played since he’s been back I have no doubt he’ll live up to the hype.

OhCanada-ParticipantYour honestly so delusional and bias it makes having any sort of conversation with you cringey. Seriously you bring up FG%? Okay.
Markelle Fultz shoots 41% overall and hasnt made a three yet. 8% of his shots are from 16 feet or further which means 92% of his shot are close midrange and closer. Also you point to the fact that he has only played 11 games but this just means teams havent been able to scout and adjust to his style of play yet. He has also played weak defences and uninspired competition. Plus he shoots around 50%. from the line.
De’Aaron Fox shoots 41% overall but despite three point shooting being his weakness he takes the shot because he is trying to improve it and isnt scared. He takes 2 threes a game and shoots 30%. 40% of his shots are from 16 feet and further. 73% FT shooter.
Dennis Smith Jr. shoots 39% overall but despite three point shooting being his weakness he takes the shot because he is trying to improve it and isnt scared. He takes 5 threes a game and shoots 31%. 50% of his shots come from 16 feet and further 70% FT shooter.

The GoatParticipantBen 27-15-13-4 and the W
Lebron 44-11-11
These two then add Embiid, Saric, Covington, Fultz and a bunch of shooters
Philly has to land Lebron

EndlessknightParticipantI know it sounds crazy but I would rather have PG13. George fits the Sixers style of play perfectly, he would just slot in and the team wouldn’t skip a beat. LeBron on the other hand would require the team’s whole style be change to suit him. Plus George is 5 years younger.
0- Posted on: Sat, 04/07/2018 - 3:34am #1114803
220ParticipantI don’t think that’s crazy as Paul George’s game on paper is a better fit even though Lebron is undoubtedly the better player. I’m sure the 76ers could make it work if Lebron wants to come, but from a selfish standpoint I’d rather see the 76ers become title contenders on their own without bringing in Lebron and having him change everything about them.

Memphis MadnessParticipantIf LeBron goes to Philly, Bill Russell’s record might be in jeopardy.

BeastMode716ParticipantMarkelle Fultz is a stud – getting the rim whenever he feels like it & he’s basically money from 20 feet & in w/ that Jump shot – just slowly pushing out his range & looking like the guy we thought he’d be w/ the #1 pick more & more every game
Fultz, Simmons & Embiid on the same team all within 4 years of each other in age is Scary & Phila has a Ton of Cap space & 2 more 1st Round picks in the 2018 Drafts – one of them is a Lottery pick courtesy of the Lakers
I didn’t really understand all of what Hinkie was doing b/c espn & other National media outlets let’s be honest purposely never focused on anything – I always knew Phila basically had no choice b/c the Andrew Bynum deal completely wiped out that franchise – again this is never reported or talked about
And Colangelo has made a couple great moves – but again ALL w/ Hinkie’s ammo – but Sam Hinkie set this team up for a Decade to compete for Titles & the Culture & team Identity that Brett Brown has built is remarkable b/c if you watched them even when they were losing they played Exactly the same way but just did not have any talent
This team won games 2 years ago — TEN!!!! This franchise is Loaded
