The Sixers really need a closer, any suggestions???
Evan Turner is the answer... Et can break you down off the dribble, he is athletic, he can pass, defend, he is just not the best shooter in the world. But Et hopefully will show off in the Sophmore game and have people talking. Doug played him 1 min in the 2nd half, after he scored 7 points in the 2nd quarter. idk why doug hates evan, he did the same thing to Jordan and Grant hill. but i fear Evan will leave (ala Brandon Jennings) or request a trade because evan is a superstar type guy. what i mean by that is he has been great the past 5 years, and expectations are high. His body language tells us allot in Philly and all the Philly reporters wonder if he even likes doug (tom moore asked him last week) but we do need a closer, Monta would have been nice, but this is Dougs last year so im expecting Mckie or Timmy Legler to come in and coach.
If Evans continues to evolve as a PG and Kings wins continue to increase as well as a chance of a possible Tyreke and Demarcus Cousins tandem; you'd have to pry him from the Kings cold, dead hands.
That being said, Reke is from Philly so I'm pretty sure he'd love the idea. But his heart is in Sac-town. A place where they are willing to build a team around him. (Lol even if they are horrible at doing it sometimes.)
It sucks, but once we lose in the 2nd round Josh Harris (Sixers owner) will see we need to move Iggy in order for Et to evolve and be "Unleashed".... gotta look at REALITY
Package Hawes, he has shown some good flashes. He will want some money next year I dunno if im ready to give him big man money. Vucevic has 3 yrs of rookie contract and the sixers didnt do half bad without hawes. Hawes and Iggy(trade him now when his value is high) and get that closer and give Iggys responsibilities to Turner.
Ideally I'd like to package Lou Williams or Jodi Meeks, Spencer Hawes, Craig Brackins and our 2012 Draft pick for a Player in the 6 to 10 million dollar range, I think Beasley makes perfect sense To Be Honest, he could play in a lineup with Holiday/Turner and Iguadola, he'd also play well off Brand for stretches, I feel like Beasley would fit in at the Power Forward spot when we Amnesty Brand, I want his Bird Right's so I'd like to see them make a move for Beasley using Williams,Hawes,Brackins and our late 1st Round Draft Pick...
I do think Turner could become a Go To Scorer late in games but we'd have to Trade Williams in order for that to happen, I don't know why everyone always says Iggy and Turner can't co-exist, they very much can if Turner plays the Pg or Sg while Iggy plays the 2 and 3...I want a 3 guard rotation of Holiday, Turner and Meeks/Iggy...Iggy and thad can have the Sf spot with Beasley filling in there too at times, Brand should be Waived next July as to clear Cap Space for Dwight Howard(I do believe He'd sign in Philadelphia if we cleared Cap and keep our core Together)
I find it hard to believe this lineup wouldn't be the best defensive team in The NBA
Holiday-Turner-Iguadola-Beasley-Howard-Young-Meeks-Vucevic-Allen-Insert Veteran Pg here...
Lou is what Minny needs @ the 2. Sure he's undersized, but Rubio is big enough to play the 2s on D, Lou would bring that unique scoring capability that Beasley brings, but be able to apply that to a position of need as a guard.
For Philly it would allow for more PT for Turner while providing similar scoring numbers but @ PF/SF. Beasley could possibly be the future PF then once Brand's play declines or his contract ends. Beasley is not going to jeopardize the team's chemistry IMO. While he does act immature off the court @ times, he rarely is ever an issue as a teammate from what I have seen/heard since arriving in Minnesota.
Both players are still very young. Both are scorers. Its just allows Minny and Philly too move a positional overload to more of a position of need. B-Easy has better upside, but Minny desperately needs a scorer/shooter at the 2.
I think Lou Williams could be the Jason Terry for Minnesota as Rubio looks like a Kidd clone... I think they could slide Wes to SF and Williams would blossom with the extra minutes at SF/PF...
I'm going to get negged for this, but per minute Lou Williams is basically Monta Ellis... and he's already that team's closer. I'd think a Turner/Tyreke trade would help both teams, but Philly would likely need to give up more and no one seems to agree that it would help both teams though I've yet to hear a good reason why not.

Caution Text Wall Below...
I want the Sixers to make a move before the Trade Deadline...I really think they need a Game Changing scorer or Late Game Closer...
I know the Market isn't as Open as year's past but I feel like The Sixers could chase a few players before the season's through...
Here's my list of potential Trade Targets...
1.Monta Ellis...I have come around on a trade for Monta, If we could package Turner and Nocioni for Ellis that would be Ace...He'd be the Scorer teh Sixers have lacked...I think Lou would become very expendible if this happen though...I want to keep Turner but we would have to involve him I think, a Curry/Turner backcourt seems very good going forward...Jrue and Monta would be a bigger Snow/Iverson combo in the backcourt...
2.Micheal Beasley...I think we need to make a move for Brand's replacement soon, and if we can get a guy like Beasley who I feel would thrive on a Team like Philly where he'd be welcome to score in bunches...I'm thinking the Wolves would love Turner(they have since he declared) If we could get Beasley and let's say an Anthony Randolph too for Turner and Hawes it's a damm win...I love Turner but I think we can get wing scorers in next year's Free Agency(Young, Smith and Mayo) adding Beasley to replace Brand at Pf would be great...I think the Wolves would part with Beasley in a heartbeat if it brought them Turner...
3.Tyreke Evans...I know this move seems out of nowhere but I dont think Evans is as untouchable as people might think...they have some wing players and will likely get a high pick to add another...a Evans for Turner swap sounds like a very solid starting point, we could add this year's draft pick to sweeten the deal...adding a wing like Evans would be a huge boast to Philly's starting lineup...Turner would likely be the Kings best passer his first practice...Jimmer and Thorton would play off Turner very well, as would a Perry Jones or Harrison Barnes at Sf???
anyway those were my ideas off the top of my mind...what are some of you guys Ideas, and you don't have to be A Sixer fan to reply,lol...
