Sixers and Paul Pierce Trade Rumor

Sixers rumored to be interested in Paul Pierce...I don't know where this came from, I've heard several people in Philly talk about the Sixers/Celtics swapping Paul Pierce and Andre Iguadola, with the draft picks The Celtics own coming to Philadelphia, Pierce may be bought out to go to LAC afterwards...I don't have a link, I'm giving you the word on the street...What do Philly fans think, what do Celtics Fans think...I heard the Celtics wanted those Picks to possibly draft Austin Rivers, Maybe he isn't declaring this Year, Coach Rivers would know wouldn't he???LOL...This makes 0 sense but I heard the Sixers are going to Try to clear Massive cap space for this years Free Agency...The New Owners and GM are going to try to make a splash...It makes sense with Deron Williams and Dwight Howard out there as Free Agents...

What do you think???

No seriously though, if

No seriously though, if Philly traded IGGY for Pierce, I take a dump at section 221a (my seats at games lol) and just leave .... I'm all for trading Iggy for a game changer but Pierce is not going to put us over. Unless he was 5 years younger, I would think about it but this does nothing for us moving forward.

I have been day dreaming of a way that the Sixers could some how get Dwight Howard and then we can amnesty Brand (Lavoy Allen has been solid for us) in the summer and try luring another free agent. My trade (although very unlikely) would be Iggy, Hawes, Noicini's expiring, a couple of draft picks, and 5 Philly cheesesteaks (for Big Baby's pleasure) for Howard and Reddick or Richardson. A line up of Jrue, Meeks, Thad, Brand, and Dwight with Lou and Evan on the bench looks solid this year. Then amensty Brand and maybe we can acquire another solid guard and move Evan to the SF spot starting next year. But Coach Collins loves Iggy and would probably never trade Iggy so its all day dreaming. Whatchu think Scare Crow?

Lmao @ TONGUE OUT AND i MAYBE WRONG

The Office is funny as shyt when you 420 blazed...

Now I know I &$#%#&@! is my pants when I heard this rumored repeated several times at numerous Philly basketball hotspots...

I hear the Sixers wouldn't keep Pierce and would In fact use a Non Amnesty Buy Out, as so Pierce can join His Home Town Clippers for dirt cheap...A line up of Chris Paul-Caron Butler-Paul Pierce-Blake Griffin and De'Andre Jordan sounds tough...The Sixers would clearing Cap and adding those two Draft picks The Celtics own...The Cap space could be used to Chase Dwight Howard as Nocioni and Hawes plus dumping Iggy clears 25 million dollars...They'd still have the Amnesty to use on Elton Brand and could use that extra 18.5 to sign Deron Williams or a Combo of Micheal Beasley and OJ Mayo...

I've been saying for the past

I've been saying for the past year that the Sixers are one Iggy trade away from having massive cap space this summer. All they have to do is trade Iggy for an expiring contract and amnesty Brand, and VOULAH! You're looking at like 25 mil in cap space with a young core featuring a few players who have All Star potential. It's perfect.

But more then anything I want Iggy out of town on the next thing smoking so Turner can finally get some minutes. Over the last 10 games Turner has been averaging only 20 mpg which is insane, but still gettting 9ppg and 5rpg on like 48% shooting. We need to get this in the starting lineup yesterday! Grooming the 2nd overal pick to be the 8th man off the bench is just ridiculously dumb and unless we trade Iggy it's going to be the case.

I would do this trade in a heartbeat. But the thing is I would actually want Pierce to play for us and not buy him out. Pierce is playing really well this year and is actually, exactly the type of player the Sixers need. The Sixers only need a veteran closer and there are only a handful of players in the league as good as Pierce at closing out big games. We could actually sit Pierce on the bench the whole game and just have him play the 4th.

But in the end the Sixers with Turner in the waiting are going to get better regardless as soon as we trade Iggy and take the training wheels off Evan. The time is now.

If Philly did want to move

If Philly did want to move Iggy on to create cap space then Houston have a range of expiring deals and adding Iggy would give them another quality player, they could easily send the Knicks pick due if needed.Or NOH are sitting on Kaman's expiring deal getting an All Star for that mighr be better than they hoped.

But personally I'd say Philly are doing nicely under Coach Collins, they have a team option in Nocioni they could move for an asset and come 2013, Brand expires so they should have cap space then and at worse next season Brand is a huge expiring deal.

Also I don't see the Celtics moving PP, he is perhaps the longest serving player on one team after Kobe and Tim Duncan and is a Celtics' legend so to move him could create a huge backlash and he is still playing well.

I definately think Ainge will

I definately think Ainge will break up the trio, but I think of all of them Pierce will be the one he'll try to hang on to. He's played his whole career there, I think he's more apt to move Allen or KG first, but I have nothing to back that up.

Just a hunch...
