Sixers

Miami and Chicago should not take this team lightly come playoffs. After they just dismantled an Elite Bulls team, it just prove any doubters that this team win games not because they have a light schedule but they are really PLAYING BASKETBALL. Every nba must show respect for this team because you are seeing a glimpse of what the future is. F u c k you to all Philly haters!

Deng and Hamilton were out

Deng and Hamilton were out and Rose didn't play in the 4th quarter cause they were resting him for the Knicks today

Really? It's an excuse for a lost? Why would they prepare for a team that has a horrible record. Another lame excuse why can't people respect this team? A team like the knicks doesn't deserve much respect as the sixers should get. What about Hawes? A center and a candidate for MIP if we wasn't injured, he's not playing.

Hawes didnt play... Vucevic

Hawes didnt play... Vucevic didnt play... We went with 1 center and that was Old man Battie.. Rookie Lavoy Allen spelled him at center and hes a PF... I understand Deng / Rip were out, but the sixers and Bulls alike have been winning gms regardless of who has been playing. It is the next guys responsibility to step up and give quality minutes.. Excuses are a bunch of bologna....(WE out rebounded the best rebounding tm in the nba)... I doubt rip nor Deng would have made up for the lost margin in this dept...)

Sixers were the better tm last night... Rose couldnt muster much, and other than CJ watson they were man handled..I am a Sixers fan.. I agree Bulls are currently a better tm overall, but lets please give credit, where credit is due...

IM sick of hearing this soft schedule nonsense.. We have beat Indy, Atl, Orl, and now Chicago.. We have a tough stretch that will continue and hopefully we can continue to show our mettle..

GO SIXERS-

Listen the Sixers are supposed to be mediocre, and "THEY" wiped the floor with the bulls last night..Sorry I said we, i didnt mean to make you upset, but im a diehard Sixers fan, and the Bulls didnt look like all they were cracked up to be... (at least for one night that is)....

Nah I know the bulls sucked

Nah I know the bulls sucked last night for us. I'm not gonna make excuses. I just asked the simple question that you never answered. So you play on the team or what?

i do not play on the tm,

i do not play on the tm, although im sure they wouldnt mind an additional cheerleader so to speak on the bench lol.... Ive loved them in there bad yrs and good, and this is the most excitement generated by this young ball club since 2001 when AI, and a bunch of role players took us to the finals.. While i was a fan of George Lynch, aaron mckie etc.. This tm has way more depth and plays as a tm on O and D... Whats not to love? Everyone is on the same page.. The bench cheers for the players in the gm.. They are a true team, and a pleasure to watch right now..

so I see the Sixers are starting to make some noise

and with that comes all the love/hate from both Philadelphians and outsiders...Everyone can and will make up excuses as long as they have air in their lungs, The Bulls were without Deng and Hamilton last night, yes but they still had Derrick, Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah starting didn't they...All 3 are better players than their counterparts were last( Holiday, Brand and Battie ) Yet they found a way to get beat by 16...Facts are facts...The Bulls were missing two key players last, two wings that do provide offense for this Team...But they still had their frontcourt and Superstar on the floor and were down by as much as 20 at points in the game...Making up the sorry excuse that The Bulls were resting Rose in the 4th to prepare for The Knicks is a farce, That doesn't hold up to snuff sorry buddy...I can see them sitting Rose as to avoid Injury playing in a meaningless loss...

Sixers nation, I believe I've been a flag carrying member since I was swimming in mt father's Nut sack...so I feel you 125%, but It was 1 game and we really shouldn't get to exited until we start owning Teams like The Heat/Knicks and Celtics...The Bulls aren't a serious threat in my eyes, they have too much responsibility on Rose's offense and we saw if you take away Boozer and Deng and make Rose work hard for his they are very beatable (Thank Miami for that formula to success against them)...The Miami Heat are the Sixers only real competition in The East, I believe that Chicago's depth and injury woes will catch up to them and leave them vunerable, I don't think Atlanta and Indiana are there either, The Pacers success relies on their depth and they are slowly losing some of that what with Hill's injury and Granger's inevitable spell on the sidelines(although he looked an All Star against Minnesota) West and Hibbert don't look like they'll survive the season unscathed either...Bottomline is the Pacers and Hawks look like they are a step behind Philly right now, they can easily catch up if one of our main guys goes down...what's sad is The Knicks are one of the lower ranked Teams in the East, even with Melo and Amare plus the Mega Signing of Tyson Chandler...

Sixers Haters, go hang yourselves...because if a die hard fan base can't lamment on a basketball site while Jazz/Raptor/Lakers/Thunder and Heat trolls run rampant, where can they lamment...

And for the jerkoffski who asked The Microwave why he keeps referring himself and the Sixers as "We" well It's "We" as proud fans take ownership of our beloved sports franchises...

Go be a douche elsewhere...The Thread was Entitled "Sixers"...anyone who has any thing negative to say combating that should start His or Her's own Thread Entitled "Sixer Haters Unite"

What people really need to

What people really need to start talking about is how great of a coach Doug Collins is. It's like all the years he was announcing he's been picking apart the NBA's teams, players, coaches, and all the flaws they have and now he's back tryna to expose them. His gameplan was flawless last night as he got the Bulls offense out of sync by letting them shoot from the outside while playing tough man to man on Rose and not collapsing defenders so he could make plays. There were no open men for Rose to feed when he drove last night which lead to a lot of contested shots many of which he miraculously forced in.

But the Sixers offense executed to perfection too by picking apart Chicago's defense which has been IMO the most dominant D in the league this year. But in the battle of the best D last night the Sixers clearly won. And even though Deng didn't play Noah, Boozer, Gibson, and Asik did and let Lavoy Allen go 7-10.

It's them little matchups that the Sixers have done a great job of exploiting this year.

But at the same time we are not contenders. The only way the Sixers can become serious contenders is if Holiday or Turner were to start breaking out at the end of games. And since neither one of them really get's much of a chance I doubt that happens this year. I'm tired of Sixer games being decided by an Iggy step back 20 footer or a Lou Williams 25 foot 3 with a hand in his face. They take terribly tough shots at the end of games.

Also I'd like to see them run more offense through Turner near the low block. He's been extremely impressive with his back to the basket this season. Turner has incredible patience and that's what makes his so effective posting up other wings. He can spin off and get to the lane or feign and find a cutter. They should exploit this more often.

And if Hawes is gonna remain out for an extended period of time don't you think it's time to start thinking about trading for Kamen?

in regards to your last

in regards to your last statement about Kaman.. OK so they give up NOcioni's expiring deal / contract.. who else do you throw in to make salary work? Thats where i am at a loss. UNless they want Craig Brackins, i am not sure who on the bench i would move for him.. Thoughts?

Honestly I you gotta give

Honestly I you gotta give some to get some so I try trading them Noci's expiring deal, and Hawe's and figure they like the idea of basically trading Kamen for 23 year old version of him because they want youth. Nobody is going to give them any significant because he's a free agent anyway.

Also if not I'm thinking about trading for Okafor who they should be happy to give away for expiring deals. He's got a large contract but he be a very good defensive center in the East.

Didn't wanna get involved

Didn't wanna get involved but...

Hi Its Ben...STFU your being an ass. People say we all the time while affiliating themselves with the team. I'm sure you've done it before in your life time with those Bulls. And if there is any city that people from the city embrace their teams and can be considered a part of it...it is Philly. We are blue collar, hard working mothertrucker who ride and die with our team. When times get high like this, we are die hard passionate with love and when it is rough we still ride and die with our squads although we get timid at times.

Philly is the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, Flyers. Its not just that those teams play in Philly...they are Philly. We are die hard sports fans so we consider ourselves part of the organizations. We support them, we love them. When we are playing well, IDK if there is a city around that embraces its teams like we do. I'm &$#%#&@! proud to be from the 215...I am a 76er.

19134=Kenzo zip code. It's

19134=Kenzo zip code.

It's funny now that the Sixers are doing good celebrities wanna get face time sitting courtside. I remenber Vick showed up at half time to the game against the Heat on Easter in the playoffs last year and literally waived to the crowd, sat down for 5 minutes, then got up and left.

Atleast when I went to the Bobcats game and Will Smith was there he was there to actually watch the game.

But Doug Collins is so big on chemistry I'd bet money he would try and veto any big trade Thorn might try to make. I knew we were gonna come out the gates hot as soon as I saw the schedule and all the home games combined with the fact the team stayed in contact and worked out a lot together during the summer. Iggy and Turner were working out together a lot in Chicago. Brand, Holiday, and Hawes were doing their thing out in Cali. But they're not just winning we're actually blowing teams out the building on most nights that's what I'm most surprised about. I didn't thing we had the big men to actually be this good on defense considering we don't have one guy you would say is a great shot blocker. And Brand and Hawes don't match up athletically with most frontcourts. But they play tougher. I've can't remenber the last time I was as excited over post defense as I was watching Brand literally bully Howard the other night that was great.

But this is been a redemption season. So many people in this city especially during Eagles season wanna downplay the Sixers saying they're just okay or not that as exciting and now all of them people are singing a different toon.

And Eagles better draft a hot dang Linebacker in the first round this year enough of these 4th, n 6th round linebackers we need some blue chip prospects at that position and this draft got a few of them.
