with new coach eddie jordan in place, where do the sixers go with the 17th overall pick? as a philly fan, i do not believe lou williams is able to play the point guard position in the nba as a starter and does not hold the assist/to ratio etc, so would a pg be the place to go and who falls into this mid-draft position on draft day?

The sixers are a playoff team so if they go with a PG it will be a more nba ready player like Maynor or Lawson. I have a feeling that they will re-sign Miller so they should draft another position. If they can get somebody like Earl Clark or James Johnson that would be sweet.

I think they would be wise if they selected wayne ellington, who is from the pennsylvania area and could help out with long-distance shooting, a growing concern for the sixers. Other guards such as Tyreke evans and Gerald Henderson would also be good fits in this area.

Why do you 76ers fans have no faith in louis williams. This guy is a top 10 fantasy point guard waiting to happen. His numbers last year were played behind Andre Miller. I can only imagine his production as a starter. You need a back up for him, but not an eventual replacement.

I believe your key word was “fantasy” in that statement. I’m not saying he has maxed out his potential, but coming off the bench like he did, he did not step into the shoes we needed him to in his third year. Every stat he produced was sub par to expectations. This kid was an absolute stud in hs. He is too small for the 2 and is shoot first with too many turnovers. Not a natural pg or floor general. I wish I had counted the number of 18 foot wide open jumpers he missed regardless of the situation. He hasn’t made me into a believer yet. Miller, if resigned, may need more rest for those knees this year which means a sixth or seventh man needs to produce. (not the willie greens of the world either)
