Simple question

With all the dust settling from the off season, who will be the most improved team in the NBA?

Everyone is this but LeBron

Everyone is this but LeBron would fit really well in cleveland with this roster especially if Bynum can get 16pts, 10rbs and 2 blocks along with kyrie getting 22 or 23 a game, lebron could focus on playmaking and defense and scoring some and not have to worry about rebounding because bynum and thompson/bennet could handle that. It is set up for lebron to go there for 4 years and win another 2 to 3 championships then that will put him at 4 or 5 championships at the age of 33 which he should be able to get another 4 more years of being a top 5 player in the league after that, so realistically he could come close to 6 championships.

I was tempted to go with a

I was tempted to go with a team who placed in the bottom couple of records last season but I think the Timberwolves will make a lot of noise next year if they can stay healthy.

I'm going to have to go with

I'm going to have to go with the Pistons. Only because I think that Joe Dumars is going to make one more big trade.

From a pure win-loss

From a pure win-loss standpoint I am going to go with the Wizards. They only won 29 games last year and should be flirting with .500 this season so they could win over 12+ more games. Detroit is in that same boat and I am a big fan of the Mo Cheeks hiring.

Houston had a pretty good record last year so while it isn't out of the question for them to win 57 games this year I think it is more likely to be one of the bottom feeders from the East.

I agree with it being someone

I agree with it being someone from the east. With the fall of Boston and the younger teams making progress should help a couple make it into the playoffs. Right now i'm thinking Wizards or maybe Cavaliers (depending on health).

Cavaliers

My vote is the Cavaliers but I'm curious what people on the site think about Sacramento? Does anybody think they could win 35-40 games?

Charlotte is still a bad team

Charlotte is still a bad team but the signings of Jefferson and Zeller really upgraded their ugly offensive frontcourt. I think MKG will show why he was drafted 2nd overall with a much improved offense and they might win 15 more games next year. This is still bad but a much improved team.

Cleveland should be considered a darkhorse for a playoff spot and of course the Rockets should be considered a top 4 team in the east and Parsons may be in consideration for mip if he gets somewhere near to 18/7.5/3/1/1 along with rock solid defense and fantastic percentages. The Wizards now have a pretty well balanced roster and still guys like Beal and Vesely. I really like the starting five of the Pelicans, they tried hard to make steps forward and really did well this offseason! The Warriors officially activated the win now mode and Iggy should be considere one of the best signings this offseason. His playmaking skills, excelent defense and rock solid outside shot now brings another dimension to this team. Some say the development of Barnes and/or Thompson is harmed but honestly there is enough playing time for all three left. Watch out for Barnes playing a Jeff Green type of PF role from time to time with Bogut protecting the paint.

The most disappointing teams so far have been the Mavs, Lakers and to be honest the Thunder. I'm a Thunder fan and I think Martin wasn't really a good fit but but this Harden trade seem to be worse and worse. I defendet this trade a lot and Adams will turn more heads in an positive way many people might think now but I really wait year in year out for solid veteran help in free agency. Why don't they go after guys like Jack or Budinger who should be available in the price range they could handle? Now they got the 7 mil trade exception in the K-Mart trade but if they are really willing to spend this they are either considering amnestieing Perk (which wouldn't happen) or they are going to spend the money they refused to pay Harden on someone else... Sam Presti is just one of the few GMs I really have faith in but he just doesn't seem to round out the roster very well.

The biggest head scratcher so far was the Pistons signing of Smith. I was really excited about the Pistons this summer and now you read all the rumors about a possible Monroe trade and the Smith signing is very questionable even if not a horrible price tag. Still confused about what the plan really is.

Oh and please lets not forget about the Brooklyn Nets! They are a serious contender for me right now. Kidd is a rookie coach on paper but this team is incredible deep and if healthy could play for the east crown. We all know that the 3.1 mil AK-47 deal is somewhat of a foul play but they are really trying hard to move to the top very soon. Personally I don't like this way to do it but you have to give them credit how they managed to do this makeover so fast.

In the long rund Utah really has a bright future. They kept their finalcial flexibility for the future and just added more future picks.

In general I think a lot of teams tried to make a step forward and are better on paper next year. There is an incredible amount of talent in the league right now and some of this teams might not really improve due to better competition but the league itself improved a lot imo.

Oh and I completely forgot

Oh and I completely forgot about the Knicks. They just added someone with one of the worst contract in us sports and a big man who plays the same position as their two most expensive players and averages 5 rpg for his career and they still think they upgraded this team. They might be the team who takes the biggest hit along with the Mavs next year. Just don't think they are better then before and they really had holes and an insane old roster.
