Willfb3ParticipantIf Dwade is intent on leaving Miami it would make sense for Miami to start thinking about rebuilding and they would obviously like to get something in return for him. What do you guys think of the Thunder sending Waiters and Kanter to the Heat for Wade? From the Heat’s point of veiw, obviously these guys aren’t superstars, but they are both only 23 years old and have potential. They could then look to move Bosh to a contender for some mix of young players and draft picks, and look to avoid a lengthy rebuilding process as they would already have a solid foundation. For the Thunder this would probably make them the favoirte for the 15-16 season (which is why Wade would be open to this) with a starting lineup of Westbrook, Dwade, KD, Ibaka, and Adams. I know that Wade is better than Waiters and Kanter, but they are both already solid players and could get much better, and the Heat obviously don’t want to see Wade walk with nothing in return which could easily happen.

Willfb3ParticipantI have a feeling my original post will get negged hard, but this is a forum and we might as well throw creative ideas out there every once in a while. I encourage others to not worry about points and post some interesting stuff up here. It’s no fun just re-reading Yahoo sports and ESPN headlines, much more intriging to be a little outside the box. Sometimes I feel like unlikely trade ideas actually offend people, and they shouldn’t. I don’t mean any harm, just looking for some fun discussion. Instead of just voting down I’d love some counter proposals and ways to improve deals.

Bed HeadParticipantIt’s just that, somehow, Waiters and Kanter don’t feel like Pat Riley type of guys to me.

Willfb3ParticipantI agree there, you don’t think he could trade them for assets he would prefer though? The idea isn’t really for the Heat to win with these guys, but rather to get something rather than nothing if Wade wants to leave. Afterall, there are a lot of moving pieces in a rebuilding process.

Bed HeadParticipantAs soon as he accepts the harsh reality that there isn’t a better option "out there" (at his advanced age).
When completely healthy (which is hardly ever), the Heat have the most balanced starting 5 in the East, imo. Plus their lottery pick should add a bit of youthful energy to the mix.
So I’m not sure why there would be such a rush to begin the rebuilding process. Especially considering both Wade (age+injury) and Bosh (contract+clots) have seen their trade value sorely diminish.
