WarblingSpamalopeParticipantMe and a buddy were talking about how exasperating Rick Adelman has been this year. He is insistent on hockey style substitution when the Wolves might have the worst bench in the league. The starters build a lead and the subs give everything back.He trotted out 5 subs against Harden and watched them get smashed on a 17-0 run. He is so resistant to playing rookies. He has to give Dieng minutes finally and Dieng has delivered. He has 20 pts 16 rebs as I type. Shabazz has played hard and made good things happen, but Adelman has decided to reward him by gluing him to the bench.
Rick Adelman has an unhealthy obsession with Barea. Barea has 4 bad games to every good game this year. I know this roster is not well suited to play defense, but this is out of control. Everyone shoots great percentages against them and a lot of the time effort looks like an issue. My last point would be a good coach gets his players to play above their abilities. I look at this team and I don’t see anybody playing above their abilities.

BajeebzParticipantBarea…Budinger…Mbah a Moute…Hummel…Cunningham…These guys gave up a 17-0 run in the second. Why can’t Muhammad crack into that rotation? It makes no sense at all. I respect Adelman but he hasn’t figured out his rotation all season. These guys are struggling in part because they don’t get any consistent run. They don’t know one night from the next if they’re going to play…Tiresome to say the least. Big shout out to Gorgui Deing who finished with 22 points 21 rebounds 4 assists. Too bad it was in a blowout loss.

For_Never_EverParticipantHis biggest blunder is trading Bonzi Wells when he was with the Rockets.
That team was playing great. Bonzi was one of the reason why and the X- factor because he posted guards while T-Mac attacked them from the outside.
However, Rick Adelmen held a grudge against him since his Kings days when he benched Bonzi for the bottom of half of the season. Rick Adelman couldn’t let it go, and traded Bonzi asap for one of his guys Bobby Jackson.

BiggysmallsParticipantAdelman has become scapegoat #1 for me this year with the Wolves. I just get the feel that we have given up any sort of future assets and flexibility to bring in his style of players in a desperate "win now" attempt…which will result in a 500 record type season.
He gives rookies zero rope, yet watches JJ Barea, Corey Brewer and Dante Cunningham do their Allen Iverson, Rudy Gay and Luis Scola impersonations all season. It is baffling. He has no sort of bend in his ways, and he has a style of player that will always get minutes over others.
He traded Derrick Williams for MBah, which was a failure. No matter how you feel about Derrick Williams not living up to his draft status, he was better than Mbah and better than Cunningham. He was unable to extract anything out of Michael Beasley, who would look awfully nice as a bench piece this year.
I just think last year was draining for him. The Wolves were supposed to compete for a playoff spot last year and all the injuries completely derailed them, along with the issues his wife dealt with and I think that just took the wind out of his proverbial sails. I think he lost it and he just looks like a tired worn down guy and I hope he retires after this year.

ivan138ParticipantHis biggest mistake was rarely playing Drazen Petrovic in his prime . Drazen was unhappy and moved on to Nets , and rest is history , short history but known to all .
