This guy is going to get some NBA looks in summer league and maybe camp invites due to his play in the tournament. My question is: is he an NBA player?

He has good size for a 2 guard, at 6’4″ 200 lbs. He’s got a sweet jumpshot, solid ballhandling ability, and pretty good athleticism. He plays tough, and with swagger, yet his game is very under control, and he doesn’t turn the ball over very much (1.8 topg). He’s not a passer (only 1.2 apg), but he does very good work on the boards (6.5 rpg) and on D (1.4 spg to only 1.9 pf).

Maybe I’ve just got March Madness, but I’d love to see this guy in the league. I also love watching players with dreads for some reason.

He won’t get many NBA looks if any. No one has really heard of him,You have to have steam on your name and a reputation. But it is an amazing career he has had. He was a walk on and earn his scholly and eventually became a big time player for his program. Now he will have a chance to at least play overseas and with his toughness I would bet he will be a solid overseas pro and will soon be making good money over there.

Not sure why he wont get a few 2nd round looks, hes had a good season, hes proving he can play against the big boys and with this draft class being very weak in terms of 2 guards, he should get some looks

I think he will get drafted. He is a great rebounder for a guard. He leads the team. Plus he has great confidence. I think Comer could get drafted in a couple of years as well. I have watched this team a lot because my cousin plays for them and when Comer would get in the game, magic happens. He is a great pass first point. He just gets a little carried away at times with the flash but I love watching him so I don’t complain lol.

After watching a little bit more of this game I changed my mind LOL. Brown can ball. Work ethic must be insane too, to not even be a recruit and work your way to stardom.

when he reentered the game in the 2nd half (foul trouble), FGCU went on a 17-0 run. This guy means so much to their team.

Oh yeah, this guy means everything to the team.
Huge run when he came back in. And he can actually score in a variety of ways.
Jumpers, drives, and he’s strong. And a very good rebounder.

    Definitely worth a 2nd rounder.

he has great pace as well. He doesn’t drive stupidly into charge calls. That floater late in the game was a great example. He just slowed his stride, elevated, and shot a floater off the glass over the defender. He makes the game look easy.

He will be on someone’s summer league team at the least. Someone will give him a shot at least.

What I have learned from watching the Tourney with more awareness and attention to details. A great college Coach will take decent college basketball players and turn them into good college players, while getting the best out of them. Sherwood Brown is clearly second round talent, late second round. Florida Golf Coast University clearly have mid major talent and they are relatively unknown. Scouting will catch up to them but it might be around the Final Four weekend. Their Coach is a Great College Coach. He seems to be a pure Teacher to game of Basketball.

Brown will probably get an invite to the Portsmouth and that could help continue to keep his name and face in front of NBA scouts.

I would invite Chase Feilder to my Summer League team to see what he can do. He’s 6’8” has terriffic athletic ability and has a decent face up game. I think he would put up good numbers in fast tempo of summer league, and with his athletic ability I think he could translate to the pro game. He is a junior and I doubt he’ll go early since he’s probably not a draft pick, but next year I think he’d be a great player to give a shot as a free agent.

Their coach is super smart. Good hustling college career, then Wall Street wiz where he made millions. Then back to basketball and got his team into the tournament. Lots of athleticism on that team, but also very little size.

I think the NBA is going to deem Brown way to short. I mean he is listed at 6′ 4″ so he is tops a SG. And he kind of plays like a PF for FGCU (hence all the rebounds) with a good number of power post ups.

I would give most of the team a look if I was a Nba draft scout
That Guy thompson’s awesome and was terr offense when they took out Sherwood Brown and obviously SHerwood Brown.
Also I would look at Gomer because he is a sick passer and has a major upside.
Also he played on an AAU team with Austin Rivers so he has to be good.
    Anyway
Hope they go further in this tourney and show people that no name teams are sometimes better than Top teams
