This years top Canadian prospect from the look of things. I really like this guys longterm potential. He may not be able to enter the league right away as a starter but I think if you put him behind a good veteran pointgaurd and give him spot minutes in a bench role he could become very good similar to the role Dejounte Murray is in. Hes a quick and athletic 6’6 pointgaurd that has proven he can shoot and distribute the ball. The thing I really like about him is he uses his height to his advantage and looks for that midrange jumpshot. His length and quickness gives him good defensive potential.

 He averages 12.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.5 blocks 48% FG, 39% 3PT, 82% FT. At the very least I think he will be able to play a similar role as Delon Wright another tall and long pointgaurd. NBADraft.net has him at 11 in the most recent mock and I think thats fair.

 He kind of reminds me of Michael Carter Williams as a bigger lead guard that can get into the lane and defend.  I see him going in the late lottery right now.

I like his potential. I think he can be better than MCW. If he can learn to shoot the three then he can become a real nice 3D guard. Perhaps a bigger version of Avery Bradley.

 SGA as the kids call him is a really good stat stuffer. Since I’m a UK homer I’ll do my best to be objective. The start of the year until SEC play his defense was one of the best in the country averaging close to 3 SPG and has since come back down to earth. Shai, although he has good (growing) assist numbers he does tend to have sticky hands at time causing the team ball movement to be poor. I could see a team reaching for him as high as 10 or landing at 20.
