Shabazz a top 3 pick?

Can anyone tell me why he is considered a top 3 guy thus far this year? I understand he is averaging 16ppg but he really does not impress me at all. I also do not see any MKG in his play he is more of a less athletic Bill Walker.

NO hes good, has the will and

NO hes good, has the will and skill to win once he gets to the league. Hes just not better than Ben Mclemore to me. Mclemore looks and plays like a player i would build around. B Mac could go number 1 overall

Yes he is. While I do agree

Yes he is.
While I do agree that McLemore is a better player right now, take into consideration that Shabazz just turned 19 and McLemore will be 21 in February.

Shabazz is born in 93 and

Shabazz is born in 93 and Bmac in 92. Say it that way bruh but Bazz don't fit in to well in UCLA. UCLA is just straight up out of sorts.

No, because then it'd appear

No, because then it'd appear as though that they're only one yr apart when it's actually closer to 2.

He's scoring fine. His conditioning isn't there yet. His floor game isn't great, but that's not what he was touted for. UCLA's not performing up to their expectations, not just because of any one player, it's more so because expectations of them were too high, just like expectations were high for the Kentucky team...or even NC St for that matter. People look at a group of blue chip prospects and think "Wow...they have so much talent. They're gonna dominate." When the game isn't as simple as that.

Teams need a good blend of talent, experience, smarts, coaching and other intangibles. Both Kentucky and UCLA are lacking in a number of those areas. You look at a team like Michigan and they too are one of the youngest teams in the nation with 3 freshmen being key parts of their rotation. Yet you don't hear anything about them needing time to gel/ learn, being out of sorts or lacking experience. That's because they have a perfect blend of what I mentioned above. Talent is talent, but talent doesn't always know how to play with other talent. The teams with talented players who know how to play with other talented players are the ones who hit the ground running.

Where

I heard people say he is great competitor and gives extreme effort. I have seen a lazy out of shape guy who gives effort when he has the ball and that is about it. Not a fan at all!
