Pro-21ParticipantThis guy was REALLY underrated coming out of highschool. He has been terrific thus far for uconn, and his game will shoot to the next level when he finds a rhythm for his jumpshot. He is incredibly quick (kemba type quickness) with strong ballhandling skills to go along with a lethal three point shot. He is also a very good defender and playmaker. I put him in sort of the same category with Ryan Harrow.

JNixonParticipantHe’s quick and a tough defender, but he doesn’t have great value elsewhere. Not yet at least. He’s not a shooter and he’s not all that much of a playmaker for others. He’s also got a ways to go in terms of efficiently finishing around the rim. He’s not very strong.
Jerryd Bayless? HELL no.

Pro-21ParticipantI have to disagree with J. Nixon, shabazz is a terrific shooter, in high school he was known for having range several feet behind the nba three point line. Hes having a built of difficulty with shot selection, but we’ll all see soon enou8gh the shooting ability he frequently displayed in highschool. As for the jerryd bayless comparison, his play making ability is much greater than his and hes much smaller. Hes actually a pure point guard that can also score in bunches.

JNixonParticipant"shabazz is a terrific shooter, in high school he was known for having range several feet behind the nba three point line."
As do most high major guards coming out of high school. Nothing about his shooter right now suggest he’s "terrific." Watching him at UConn, he’s a mediocre shooter at the college level and would be even worse in an NBA setting. He’s not an NBA level shooter by any stretch of the imagination right now, and only factors as a shooter when he’s left wide open spotting up.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI’ve actually seen him create some shots for himself as he did in the UCONN game but simply using his speed and quickness to get a good shoot off, as Jerryd Bayless can do aswell
