Who was a better prospect before the draft? 2013 was believed to be a weak draft also. I remember early on Shabazz was supposed to be top pick in 2013. I think Brown is a better athlete, but what do you guys think?

brown os a better NBA prospect because at the same stage, Brown is stronger, more physical, and is mentally much stronger.  Brown is not a great shooter but that will develop over time.  To me, the best thing about Brown is his attitude, and his intelligence.  Would love to have him in the locker room, and he will push himself and everyone around him to be much better.  High character guy who will separate quickly in the NBA as a star or even superstar.  Muhammad is a skilled player but he does not have the intangibles and IQ that Brown has in excess.

I’m a big Shabazz fan and think he was really used poorly by the Wolves this season. I think in the right role he can be a very effective 6th man type. With that said I don’t think it’s really close, just because Brown doesn’t have nearly as glaring of weaknesses as Shabazz. Brown projects to be a very strong and versatile defender. Shabazz is still working just to become an average one. Both rebound well and Shabazz probably shot it better coming in, but I think Brown has far more potential in terms of eventually being able to create his own shot. Interesting question, but I would say Brown by quite a bit.

Remember when Shabbaz was at one time compared to James Harden.

Like how lazy can people get?

At this point, I’d take Brown over Bazz only because we know what Bazz is. He’s an energy wing off the bench who will get buckets off cuts, in transition and on the offensive glass. But he’s not guarding anybody, he’s not passing the ball to anybody and he still hasn’t developed an outside jumper.

Brown may not either, but I’d take the chance that he might over a guy who at best, is an okay rotation player on a good team.
