Between Bradley Beal and Jeremy Lamb I would have to lean towards Lamb (You never would have guessed with my name, lol) I just feel like hes proven himself against top competition over and over again, and has all the tools necesarry to be a star in NBA. Size, smooth, shooting ability, elite athleticism. I will admit I’ve only seen Beal 3 times this year and they were all poor performances so that may be clouding my judgement.

As much as it pains me to say this, Dion Waiters of Syracuse is arguably the most explosive scorer in CBB. He averages more points/minute than either of these players and leads all top 100 prospects  in steals/100 possessions (Thanks to the hardworkers at DraftExpress.com, check out their per 40 min stats, cool stuff). He seems to not often be in the discussion of the top SG, but I believe he should be.

This season has been a disaster but anything can happen in BE tourney. Go Huskies. Prayers go out to Calhoun, say what you want but that man is a warrior.

I hate the "over 40 minutes" and all those other stats. They don’t mean shit unless the guy actually plays that many minutes.

It goes towards efficiency. Prospects shouldn’t be penalized for playing on a deep team. It compares players on the same playing field. For example, only one player on Syracuse plays over 25 minutes a game, where in contrast Providence has 2 guards who play over 38 minutes a game. Them scoring more per game doesn’t mean they are a better scorer than a player who scores less in 20 min per game. Apples and Oranges. 40 min stats find a middle ground, we can call it Oppleges.

Playing alot of mins also balances out though. Since Cotton Council and Henton all play over 37 mins per game they are exhausted at this part of the season and are struggling to hit shots. They could put up the same stats if they played 32 mins since they would be more rested.

Yeah I love draft expresses stats date base it’s also.  Another thing that per 40 does is put player’s performance on a n even scale for comparisons basis.  Like I went there the other day and found out tha Lou Williams averages more points then Monta Ellis Per 40.  Many players can’t keep up the same consistency over 40 minutes, but a lot of players can but just play different roles Lou Williams being a great example.  He’s leading the scorer off the bench if he played for the Bobcats he’s probably avergaing 23 ppg this year.

But how do you feel about Lamb not being able to to lead his team to any victories?  He should be doing that.  It’s that reason I went from saying he should be a top 3 pick and was my favorite to win NPOTY coming into the season to dropping him out of the top 5.

He’s still in the discusion tho because of his size and shooting ability.  I hate seeing him listed at 6’5 when he’s already measured closer to 6’7 with a 7 foot wingspan.  He has like 2 inches on Brad Beal and like half a foot on their wingspan but they’re both listed at 6’5 smh.  I would still go Beal, Lamb, Rivers, Ross.  I would also take Barnes and MKG over all of them.

And i love Waiters he’s from my city and I remenber hearing about him all the time when he was in high school but I’m still worried about him translating to the next level.  He’s still a combo guard and he does a lot of his scoring against the other teams bench playes.  But he’s no doubt a very good prospect with lotto potential.  I like him more then Rodney Stuckney coming out of college.

Its definitely tough to watch. I feel like as a team they have no clue how to use Andre effectively ( part his fault for sure). Napier has taken a huge step back, and jeremy seems to be more worried about trying to make NBA plays than being his most efficient. This would be a red flag for me if i were a scout, but his natural talent and silky smoothness with the basketball is so tantalizing. Hes a great kid
