This seems a little crazy to me.. Just a little.. I dont know where I read it and I dont feel like looking for it but I saw somewhere that Turner’s agent is trying to sell this guy as a PG… To me, Turner is a SG and thats it.. He played minutes at PG for the Buckeyes but his natural NBA position is the SG.. If Tyreke cant be a PG, then Evan cant… He said that he isnt letting Turner workout for the Wizards because he wants to build a relationship with the 76ers.. He says “Turner, the 6’7 point guard, is a natural fit with the 76ers” because they have a need for a PG…

Is this just a mistake made by his agent or is Turner coming into this NBA thinking that he can be what Shawn Livingston could have been?? I think that if Turner is determined to be a PG, he will one day but it will slow his development as a player.. I mean Tyreke wanted to be it when he got here but he quickly saw that he was better as a SG with a PG that can shoot the ball..

Where do you think Turner sees the most minutes… PG or SG??

He needs fill out a little to play the 3 more than than the 2…He’ll be a Combo of PG, SG and SF…He’s not the typical # 1 guy…he can be like Grant Hill in the sense he does it all and still gets 20 to 25 on any given night…He’s the reason the Sixers can now sell Iguadola…Turner and Holiday are two great players to build around…Iggy could be the odd man out with Thad behind Him and Turner at the 3 Spot ..If they get Rid of Iggy for a player like Henry in the Draft…they’d surround Holiday and Turner with a Shooter…They need players that can slash and spread the floor…Thad and Speights fill the bill but are behind Iggy and Brand are in the way…Sammy is on the way out and needs to be replaced at some point this or next season…The 20 Million in cap relief coming from Sam/Kapono and Green could get them a Center and young bench…The core going forward Should be ….
    1. Holiday…6’4 PG Lock Defender with lots of room for growth…Could be the next great defender in the east..
    2.Turner…6’7 G/FDo It all Leader…He can score…He can pass…He can defend…He’s cheaper than Iggy…
3.Thad Young..6’9 F Lefty Hybrid Forward…Could be the Next Rashard Lewis or a poor mans Lamar Odom
4.M16 Speights…6’10 PF Good young Big…Can score in a lot of ways…needs a defender behind him but he can shoot it outside and has room to grow…He’s a PF…Third Scoring Big in a Worse case scenario…
    * 5.X Man Henry..6’6 Sg..A Shooter and Defender with room to grow…Can start with Holiday and Turner at the 3…They’d be young and talented…some how we do trade Iggy For Xavier Henry and D’Andre Jordan…The Clippers need a Sf and Iggy is far and above the Best option if their going to try to answer that issue via the draft…Iggy to the Clippers for 8th pick and D’Andre Jordan…They answer there biggest hole in the starting 5…We get a Shooter and possible replacement for Dalembert…And some Freaking Cap space…It’s A Win Win…

*6. D. Jordan 7’0 C…A Defender and Dunker at Worse…We need to get his skills up…but he’ll get the chance to play here this year and once we dump Sammy next year…he’s cheap and we can afford to take the risk on a young Center….Might as well be Him…

They have a lot of players and picks to throw around trade scenarios…They make good trade partners…

    How about Trading Iguadola for

    1. Iggy for all of Mempis’s 1st rounders 12th/25th and 27th( Sixers go for depth and cap space, The Grizzles get a plan B if they don’t want to match Rudy Gay’s biggest offer…He would actually allow the Grizzles to let OJ score more) The Sixers would then build around Turner and Holiday thru the draft..I’d go with the best Off guard to run Turner at the 3 splitting time there With Thad…Henry is my guy with the 12th pick…He could be gone by then…But I think the teams before him go in different ways..Then with the late 1st draft the BPA’s or reach for a Center Project…Come out with cap room and a Shooter to pair with Turner…The other picks would be guys we hope work out…We could combo those two picks and get a guy we know would be good for us going Forward…25th and 27th for a pick closer to the 16 to 20 range…Maybe Whiteside or Alabi would be worth 2 picks to some one…Either way that other guy would have to be a impact defender…Whiteside all the Way…

    2. Iggy and Lou Will for OJ/Conley and Thabeet* It could be the 25th or 27th to…This way saves Memphis more…If they keep the picks they can sell them to NY and try to keep Rudy…Iggy and Gay…Felton with the MLE…And you keep your picks…The Sixers get the Scorer to play off Holiday and Turner and get a back up point guard and Center project…Not to mention a little more cap space…They Lose Iggy and a 6th man Lou Will…We may even throw them J.Smith to add some more depth to their front line…

3.Iggy for Gay Staright up…Sixers get Gay in a Sign and Trade for 15 million plus…The Sixers exchange Iggy for Gay…An all around guy point forward for a pure scorer at the 3…

I’m in favor of the 2nd option…With OJ hopefully become like Wade next to Holiday and Turner(Payton and Hill???)…But the gut tells me to go with option 1 and be a GM and build MY Team…not take on players back that I didn’t pick…

    Iggy for Gay straight up
    PG- Jrue
    SG- Turner
    SF- Gay
    PF- Brand
    C- M16
That’s a good young lineup with 2 ball handlers on the floor in Jrue and Turner, solid scorer in Gay, and 2 viable big men down low. Also have Young and Lou coming off the bench. And then I would cut Sammy cuz hes a cancer

Sammy starts at the 5…Brand can be our Leon Powe with a big ass Contract…lets see what M16 has in the clip…LOL… start him at PF and let Sammy play for his next contract with some one else…Gay is a Chucker…I want defenders that can score…and a damm replacement for Sammy…Give me Henry and Whiteside for Iggy…Save me the money and sign and Decent Back Up Big like Prybilla or B.Miller for the MLE…

Turner is really good with the ball in his hands. His handles are outstanding, he can get in the lane and create for himself or others and will probably run the pick and roll well.

Can he be a complete 2 way PG? I don’t know that he can defend the Chris Pauls, Derrick Roses and John Walls of this world quickness-wise. But he probably doesn’t have to.

The ideal situation is having a smaller, quicker guard that defends opposing PGs, plays off the ball, catches and shoots and has 3 pt. range beside him.

He can also play point forward ala Grant Hill/Scottie Pippen if the team decides to go small and fast.

Iggy for Gay would be like an early Christmas for me cuz Gay is a stud and Iggy would be a better fit in memphis cuz hes a better all around player and can help his team win without scoring and by defending and distributing something Gay cant do. But I dont even think that trade is possible cap wise.

And I am really high on George, Henry, and Babbit: George has Gay’s freak athleticism and length wit Rip Hamiltons smooth speed and shooting. Henry reminds me of Joe Johnson or a Mitch Richmond type, or even Jimmy Jackson. He’s already incredible ripped and filled out with a low body %. Plus he way more athletic then people thought, and he can shoot the lights out.

Babbitt is the odditty but can def ball. He’s like an athletic and longer and stronger Adam Morrison. Or Joe Alexander with a basketball I.Q., handles, and a jump shot. Or IMO he’s very similar to white Beasley. They tested very similar in the combine. In Fact Babbitts taller, quicker, stronger, and can jump higher. And Babbitt is a pure shooter.

And I dont feel like going back to youtube to cut and post it but they got videos of Favors and Cousins working out together.

Heres the Favors interview i didnt really learn anything new from the workout vid except Favors shoots better then i though however he got a really slow release. It obvious they are really hard to compare cuz Cuz plays stronger and with more skill. Favors play quicker and is more athletic. Its a tough call. But Cuz separates himself in the interview saying how he wanted to go head to head wit Favors but they wouldnt let him. He got Franchise talent how can people say he’s lazy when you’re talking about a 300lber who can dribble shoot and pass. with ease. It’s obvious he works on his game alot otherwise he wouldn’t have the skill set he has. For all the talk about how Favors is a hard worker and Cuz is lazy how
come Cuz is the one wit the complete skill package and Favors is still a work in progress? Who really working on what they need too?
