Schedule is out Official prediction NC State 40-0
lol i wish man, but probably not gunna happen. Love the team this year, especially if we get Purivs in a uniform this year. Love the team chemistry and I beleive CJ "Calvin" Leslie will be able to prove his case to be a high lottery pick. THe country is going to be surprised at how good this team will be, but we are definintely not going to be 40-0.
There is a reason you have 398 posts and negative 1400 points. Your posts are ridiculous with no thought or reasoning behind any of them. I think you should do all of us a favor and just quit.
You really think they're going to sweep every game against FSU, Carolina, and Duke?
I personally am really interested to see how NC State holds up now that they are the favorites in these matchups and not the underdogs. The pressure might be too much to handle.
good point akhan, when was the last time that State was FAVORED over Duke and UNC? I really can't remember, but it hasn't been recently. State is talented no doubt, but they have to get used to being the hunted instead if the hunter, at least for this season...
January 29th is going to be an issue is what a UVA homer would say, so I say on January 29th NC State loses.
Last thing I read said that Purvis is eligible to attend NC State but he can't play yet.
no Purvis is not elgible yet, but they could get to 21-0 even without him they will get him cleared by 2nd semester at the very worst but he should play every game, he is attending class so not like he did not get into school at all he should get cleared up eventually.
If not for Lorenzo Brown I would not be expecting anything like the prognosticators are expecting out of NCSU basketball this season. He is an excellent player that I think has a good shot at ACC POY but other than that I am not drooling like others are. On top of that Gott has a resume of getting real talented teams on paper that blow their load in late January. Keep in mind too that NCSU has only essentially 2 guards in Brown and Purvis. No back court depth and no Tyler Lewis will get demolished his freshmen year in the ACC so don't argue him being able to help. Also they don't really have a deep frontcourt either. After Leslie and Howell who are not physically imposing guys for bigs they have TJ Warren who likes to float to the perimeter and fancies himself a SF and that is it. Please do not try and say Jordan Vandenberg is a legit interior option , dude is a complete stiff. I would not be one bit shocked to see UNC and or Dook finish ahead of them again this year.
Prediction 28-9 10-6(ACC) Sweet 16 is a fair good expectation or I could see 23-12 8-8(ACC) and 1st round bounce in the NCAA's as the worst case scenario.
Scott Wood can't create his own shot off the dribble and can't guard a chair nor any 2 guard in the ACC. Stop being a homer NCSU fan , if Scott Wood couldn't shoot 3 balls he would be useless. He lights up crappy teams and gets shut down by good ones. Ask Scott about his 6-23 shooting in the 3 games against UNC with Reggie Bullock guarding him. Then going 1-7 in his lone matchup against Dook or 1-10 against FSU in his one matchup. When you crowd him on the catch he can't do sh!t. You are a typical NCSU clown overhyping your own team the moment they get anything good going it's in your nature because you have forgotten what it's like to be a good basketball program. Go have a Parade for your pre season accolades because there won't be any parades after the ACC season when Dook , FSU , and UNC finish 1 , 2 , and 3 again in some order.

Scott wood is a very passive player does not look to create much but he can guard just fine was actually the second leading shot blocker on NC State last year. You know nothing fool the question is not whether Wood can play the 2 in the ACC it is whether he will make the NBA or not, your posting career will be over if Wood makes the NBA next year.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaR2NHPGm5g Look at Wood in high school running circles around people and dunking on everyone.
Look at any 3 star prospect or higher in HS and I can make a mixtape of them looking awesome. Scott Wood can shoot if he is open that is about all he is very good at. Could he make the NBA at some point being a 3pt shooting specialist? Maybe but he won't get drafted he will have to make a team.
They have final four talent but to expect anything less than 5 losses is crazy talk.
i don't hate nc state, but you must people the biggest nc state fan in every universe out there!!!!!!! 40-0, what do they have to go 40-0? what does any team in the entire ncaa have to go 40-0. this would never happen if you had 40 wishes man. im sorry but that is not possible!!!!!!!!!!
Wonder who is the starting lineup tonight cant wait.
In the preseason Howell did not start the last game but hard to imagine the senior does not start.
Howell
Leslie
Warren
Wood
LO
maybe?
I've become a big NC State fan after not even caring if the team existed before getting CJ Leslie and Ryan Harrow.
But now with Leslie and Zo Brown going into their JR years, and a loaded incoming freshman class featuing Tyler Lewis, Warren, and the slept on Rodney Purvis, this team has the look of last years Baylor team and is ready to take the nation by storm.
I think NC State WILL WIN THE ACC. And I also think CJ Leslie is going to have a huge year and prove to be a top 10 talent.
