The future is bright in Minnesota, with or without Kevin Love! It may be a few down years to come, but they will put it together rather sooner then later.

Ricky Rubio finally has a legit backcourt mate with elite athletic ability in Zach LaVine, to fulfill his pleasures of taking those assist numbers to the max expeditiously. LaVine looks scary exciting right now coming off his Summer League game, his movements are very fluid and fast. I have a really good feeling about this guy, if he stays off the ball and develops into an all-around 2-Guard. I look forward to him becoming one of, if not the best 2-Guard in the league to play off the ball and move without it, especially if he can play with Rubio throughout the majority of his career.

Shabazz Muhammad can possibly breakout as well in the midst of all the troubles coming into the organization. He will be pushed this year from the offseason acquisition of Glenn Robinson III, which should be the best thing for him and his maturation process as a second-year player.

Rubio and LaVine are the tickets.

Also, if Lavine proves capable of playing stretches of point then he and Bazz would make a very long, formidable scoring backcourt.

I just hope Flip gives his young guys the minutes they need to develop, insteading of trying to "win-now".

I really like what Dieng showed at the end of last season. He could be a real gem in the 2013 draft class.

He was 8.9 ppg 8.4 rpg and 1.2 bpg after the ASG and during 9 games in April he put up 11.9 ppg 10.7 rpg and 2 bpg in 31.4 mpg.

Windy, if you had to trade Love to either the Cavs or Golden State, which would you prefer?  Let’s assume for argument sake the Warriors offered Harrison Barnes and Bogut or Lee and 1 or 2 first rounders and the Cavs offered (2 of 3) Thompson, Bennett or Waiters plus a couple of number 1’s via memphis and Miami.  Would you pull the trigger or wait for something better say from Denver or Sacramento (although I’m not sure Love will re-sign with them) or is there another offer you’ve heard of you liked?  I have to assume there’s no way Flip just lets him walk for nothing – that would just be crazy.  I’m curious what you think…

Personally I do not like any discussions of Love being traded, which is why I never comment in those threads. It’s taking the forum by storm, which is a bit irritating and hard to elude, so I never speak on the issue. If you pay close attention, there are a lot of forum topics I let get by me for a reason. I do not want to keep bringing up Love being linked to trade talks in this thread, but my answer to your question is "The Cleveland Three".

I seen 1 backdoor cut last night, and that told me a lot about how great he will be if he stays off the ball. I don’t care anything about the dunk itself. I critiqued him on how well he shedded the defender from the cut, and got to the basket quick fast in a hurry. Right now, the best teacher LaVine could ever have is Rip Hamilton, if he decides to watch film on how well he moves without the ball in small spaces.

I see great player just off 1 clip, if he can continue to stay off the ball.

I think Waiters might be the problem in the Cleveland offer. They have Shabazz and Lavine already and could use a SF instead.
