The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantIt’s early in the season but I’m always thinking draft. I have been surprised at the start of this season but I can see the potential in this draft class. My top 10 prospects right now are all over place on this site’s mock and I want some feed back as on my picks. 1. Perry Jones. 2. Enes Kanter. 3. Kyrie Irving. 4. Terrence Jones. 5. Brandon Knight. 6. Jared Sullinger. 7. Tyler Honeycutt. 8. Jordan Hamilton. 9. Derrick Williams. 10. Josh Selby. To me these guys are nba ready and will have long careers.

Michael.S.ParticipantFirst of all, I like seeing that you have Jones #1 as he should be.
I want to ask you a question though; do you, assuming that you have seen him play, because I haven’t, think Kanter is worthy of the second pick? Why?
However I think Motiejunas potential is just too high not to have him in the top 10, as well as Plumlee.

ilike.panochasParticipantAgree with your list, except I don’t consider Derrick Williams a top 10 prospect. He’s a mid-late 1st round guy to me.

bigblackNbeautifulParticipantFor me this draft is all about the europeans.
Veasley, Valanciunas, and Montiejunas are what will determine what the value of this draft is. IMO

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantBut I can see him drafted very high. He is the best center prospect and if a team with a great need for size had a top 3 pick its hard to see them passing. I think Plumlee has been great but in the pros. He is a mid to late first round pick by a solid team looking for depth. Also I too am intriged by the European players in this draft class. But because I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing them I assume they can fall into a group separate from this one. Them, the Morris twins, Plumlee, Kemba, Scottie Hopson, Tobias Harris and Alec Burks are guys I think will have an impact at some point. I almost forget about Trey Thompkins and Cj Leslie. But my sleeper is Etan Moore out of purdue. He is going to be a Wes Mattews type in the nba. He is on my radar as a steal in the late 1st or early 2nd round pick.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantHe may scare off teams drafting that high because of the lack of height and elite athletism. If Kanter measures out well he’s taking that top three 3 spot. If you’re looking for a post player and you have a top pick, it’s going to be a tough choice. I would pick Kanter or trade down for Thompkins or Marcus Morris. That way I get a low post player and maybe get another young player if there’s any doubt Sullinger or Kanter aren’t worth the pick.

llperezi was saying before the season that derrick williams was not a lottery talent. BUt i completely change my mind. He has improved his game significantly. DId any of you catch the 32 points and 12 boards he had tonight? He is in the convo for national player of the year. The only real knock on him is that he wont dominate inside in the nba becasue of lack of size. But he will beast other pfs who try and cover him by facing up and blowing by them and hitting jumpers. He may even develop into a sf.
