benoParticipantIf the kings do get the first round pick and get Jared Sullinger, Would that make sense of getting anothor big man..i know they need a point guard in Erving but if the get anohor big would they have strong frontline?
What do you guys feel about the kings and what they should do there draft picks on?

Lotto StudParticipantIf Irving does not declare for the draft & Sacramento has a Top 5 pick they should trade back to pick up a veteran PG or draft 1 later in the 1st round when they trade back.
It would be a mistake for them to go any route other than PG with their draft choice. Irving is the best choice for them, but if they can not get him go vet or Kemba Walker, Jimmer Fredette, Brandon Knight.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantThey definitely need a PG. The thought of Sullinger on that team actually scares me, and I’m not a Kings or OSU fan, I just think Cousins would be such a terrible influence lol. They are also a horrible shooting team, so having a core of three guys (Reke, Sully, DC) who can’t consistently knock down 20-footers wouldn’t be ideal…But there are so many ways they can go with this.
If Irving declares, it shouldn’t take them 1 second on the clock to take him. He’d be too perfect in the backcourt with Tyreke, especially because he can really shoot. And I agree they should try to trade for a veteran PG if they can’t get him, because no one else would be the answer, unless they could figure out some way to get Kemba at number 10 or so.

KayjayParticipantTeams like the Kings and OKC excite me. So much young talent ready to burst. They just need all the right piece’s. The Portland Trailblazers were the young team full of talent but…injuries cursed them. I really hope they do pick up Kyrie Irving. They won’t be out the gate, but eventually they are going to be dangerous. However I also feel a facilitator like Kemba walker or someone in the back court like Brandon Knight could work for them as well. Brandon Knight more, because both him and Tyreke are not the best play makers, but they have the ability. So having them both share the ball would also be deadly. But a pure point guard Is most def ideal for the Kings.

bigblackNbeautifulParticipantI think Jimmer would be an interesting fit with the kings.. He wouldnt need to dominate the ball. allowing tyreke to control the ball. he can catch and shoot and find the open man. I just dont think jimmer is a top 5 pick. hahah

skingzParticipantWell many ways the kings could go. carl landry is a free agent after this year and jt has a team option for 2 more years. so unless landry resigns with the kings there will be of pt at pf. the kings could use talent at any position other than center as that position is set for years to come with d-cuz and whiteside. but with that said they"ll go with either pg or sf as the big signing or high pick this offseason. another thing is its still too early to talk about next season things that need to be solved before that: the new cba, where they"ll draft, who they re-sign.kings have been playing well lately, currently they have the 3rd pick but if they keep playing well by seasons end could have the 5th or 6th pick cuz toronto"s not gonna do anything, gotta see what happens at the trade deadline, detroit could be big sellers among other teams. then we have the lottery, how many teams got screwed with that thing?

EGbball3ParticipantI think if Irving comes our you have to take him but if he doesn’t we should trade down and get a Brandon knight or a Kemba Walker.

boffacheeriosParticipantas a kings fan i have to say a trade down for 2 first rounders sounds pretty sweet. take jordan hamilton with the first (10-20) then use the second(anywhere 10-30) to take jimmer and you have 2 high character players who can contribute now. Hamilton fits well either as a starter or as instant offense off the bench in the case they keep casspi in the starting 5. Jimmer will give the kings another dimension of offense because he can play with tyreke and stay off the ball to spot up or set up cousins down low. right now the kings need shooters; it should be a priority in the draft. No one jumps out to me in the high first round as a great fit (barring Irving doesn’t declare this year)

HitsterParticipantKyrie Irving would be a great fit for Sacramento with Udrih there he would have time to develop as a long term starter alongside Tyreke Evans. If Carl Landry did move on than an SF/PF combo like Perry Jones or Derrick Wlliams could be an opton. I’m a fan of Sullinger but alongside DeMarcus Cousins I just cannot see it working out with the two of them as a frontcourt duo.
