TankensteinParticipantI am really intrigued by the potential chemistry and creative synergy of D’angelo Russel and Dario Saric as teammates. Both have special basketball IQ’s, pass well, and move well without the ball. I can’t wait to see them together, if and when they are paired. What future potential pairings excite you?

ChewyParticipantwhat if senarios obviously, but there are some pairings that would be interesting to watch (not sure the word "good" describes all of them)
Kobe and Rondo- Two hard nosed competetors who like the team run their way.
Rondo and Cousins- Obvious talent upgrade for SAC, how would those two work out together
Aldridge and Nowitzki- two stud PF who can shoot. How does that offense work?
Durant and Wall- Wall seems to be a more willing passer than Westbrook. What scoring numbers would KD be able to put up?
Thibodeau and Lebron- As a Bulls fan, this combo scares me the most.
Rose and Wade- As a Chicago fan, I am allowed to dream whatever I want to dream.
Wiggins and Lavine (who both reach their potential)- If both of these players max out their potential and stay together, it could look like a Raptors team where McGrady never left and stayed with Carter.

EndlessknightParticipantAm I the only one that just can’t see Rondo and Kobe working? They both want the ball in there hands at all times.

ChewyParticipantKobe loved Derek Fisher for taking care of the ball, getting it to him, getting out the way and hitting opne jumpshots. That’s not Rondo’s game. I don’t think it would work, but since I’m not a Lakers fan, it would be interesting to watch.

FrozetoesParticipantYou have to wonder if the Sixers moves will pay off.
Russel, Saric, Noel, and Embiid, now that could be a team worth watching.
They may be able to get good real fast in a terrible Eastern Confrence.
If Embiid is as good as he was a Kansas, he should dominate against a lot of average centers.
Noel looked really good last year.
It should be fun to watch.

FrozetoesParticipantThere are so many star PG’s and people keep talking about Rondo, I’m not sure why?
Aldridge and Leonard for the Spurs, now that would be a star combo.

Andrew1984ParticipantThe thread is about "potential pairings" and Rondo is the one PG who is obviously on the move this offseason.

OhCanada-ParticipantWhen has there ever been a more anticipated rookie/sophomore big man combo than Noel and Embiid. I can’t wait to watch these two grow.
On a side note a part of me doesn’t even take the 76ers seriously after they traded MWC for coins. I get hyped up looking at their roster then in the back of my head I think "who am I kidding Saric will never play for them, Embiid and Noel will never play together, they aren’t drafting a PG this year they are drafting a wing and a million other possibilities run by me.
Please just draft Russell, bring over Sarix next year and find someone to hold down the SG spot permanently. Sounds easy but I’m sure Hinkie will complicate things.

ChoppyParticipantDrummond and Reggie Jackson. I liked the way their chemistry developed on the pick and roll towards the end of the season. They could be a special pairing if SVG gets Detroit’s spacing right.

HitsterParticipantRussell is a combo guard and Saric has point forward potential, the big thing is then do the 76ers look to bring in a PG to run the plays or potentially let Russell do it. Embiid looks to have 3 point range and Noel will develop as a ball handler so the 76ers could play a free flowing fast break style easily.
One of my great queries has always been does an elite scorer at SG or SF play better with a creative PG or when they have the ball in their own hands. A free scoring big generally excels better with a creative pass first PG who can find them or explore other options.
The likes of Kobe/LBJ have always been primary ball carriers and we never saw how the Nash-Kobe experiment would have worked in LA.
The likes of Ray Allen was a great off the ball player so him paired with a creative PG would have been very hard to defend against.
It is always said Melo needs the ball but he was perhaps most effective alongside Andre Miller and Billups who are both creative type PGs.
