Thoughts on the possibility he could end up in the nba. IMO he’s the only coug with a real nba postion even tho this year was his first in his career playing point. Committed to Kansas as an 8th grader and that didn’t work out but is really finding his way at wsu as a floor general. He had a career high of 36 points vs U of O and has been playing hard nosed defense. Almost looks like the only guy out there trying.

Crazy that there’s a thread about this kid. I was playing ball with Royce when he was in 8th grade at open gyms at my high school. He ended up winning a state title at sunnyslope in phoenix and was AZ player of the year as a junior. His dad, Orlando actually was an assistant coach for sunnyslope his junior year. Orlando was around 6’9 and Royce’s mom is about 5’10 so everyone thought he would be much taller than 6’3. Also his half brother Renaldo is 6’8. For those of you remember Renaldo playing at Tennessee and now at USC. Royce is a good player and even a better kid who had a 4.0 in high school and has a great energy to him. I stayed with him for a weekend in Lawrence when he was there and it was one of the best weekends of my life. I was sad to see him leave but he wasn’t going to get much time there. WSU was a bad choice in my opinion but I didn’t really matter where he went he isn’t going to be going to the NBA but I wish him the best. Also note that he was always young for his class.

Real issue is ‘he’s not a true PG and only 6’2-6’3 ish and slender build, but he’s clearly added muscle since being in college.

One last thing… Gota admit it but he dunked on my when he was a junior in HS pretty bad, I doubt he would remember it but i sure do.

He’s more like 6’4. Ken Bone is the problem at wsu. But I honestly do think he has a chance with 1 yr under his belt playing point he will be able to come in next yr as the undisputed leader of the team. He’s got the size and athleticism just no one he can dime it to. Haha yeah he banged on out on me at the rec last month
