lalailaParticipantwhile Thomas RObinson once again hardly finds role there in summer league..Royce not only plays better overall but even rebounding wise is better 5 in a quater..
here is some interesting stats from their meatings this season in ncaa which show that TRob’s energy strength and even rebounding looked little lost against ROyce
ROyce game 1: 18pts 17rbs 4ast
Thomas game 1:11pts 14rbs 2ast
game 2..ROyce 18/9/5 Thomas 13/7/0 teams went 1-1
THOUTS?
and by the way Jeremy Lamb is a freak definitely has all the talent to be an allstar and top5 from this class only himself can stop him!!

B FreeParticipantRoyce is looking good now 9 boards and he instantly starts the fast break. This could be a very up tempo team with him and D-Mo(they are calling him that) running the floor really well.

ASAP HenryParticipantI’m a big Royce White fan, but the big difference between these two players is that Thomas Robinson has a defined position. He’s a power forward, no questions asked. Royce is a much more unique talent, but imo will only thrive if he meets up with a coach who lets him initiate the offense. If u tell Royce to just be a banger, than he isn’t getting to show his whole game. Royce has more potential, but I think T Rob will be a better pro because he has a defined position, while it would take a coach willing to take risks in order for Royce White to reach his full potential.

B FreeParticipantRobinson so far this game and last has been playing a very similar role as Royce has, bring the ball up alot taking slower guys of the dribble pulling up for jumpers and taking it to the rim.

lalailaParticipantman Royce really continues to dominate not only crazy rebounding against arguably the best rebounder in the draft but 4pts 4ast he can come close to a triple double and that pull up jumper looked nice too..
and so far TRob looks really lost, i like him but im still not so so sure has he already defined position at PF so much more than Royce

B-ball fanParticipantRobinson looks like he is struggling against the strength of Houston’s bigs. Not because Robinson lacks strength, but he can’t physically dominate his defenders and get easy buckets the rim the way he did in college. Its early though, and Robinson does look like he will do fine adjusting to being more of a face-up threat.

gatorguy3911ParticipantI love Royce White’s game. He’s so unique. I really hope he can find a role with the Rockets that will allow him to play to his stregnths.

Sewok15ParticipantJimmer has came to play but with the signing of Brooks today it doesn’t look like he will be getting solid minutes any time soon in Sacremento.

yaboymalParticipantAll I gotta say is Jeremy Lamb is the real deal, makes it look so easy he definitley plays alot better when the game comes to him and he has better players around him unlike when he was at uconn he looked like he was forcing alot of shots

B FreeParticipantPeople keep saying that they hope the Rockets can find a way to utilize Royce, or play him to his strengths and things along those lines. The thing is he has so many strengths, I’m not saying he is the best player in the world or anything but his biggest strength is really a lack of weaknesses. Usually people say tweener and they think can’t handle it well enough to play the 3 too small to play the 4 etc.. but he truley can play those positions and he makes people around him better. If he needs to rebound he does, facilitate, maybe his best tool, score, can when he wants. Hes got a mid range jumper he can hit of the dribble he has more post moves then Thomas Robinson, Tristan Thompson and Derrick Williams. He sets screens and breaks presses, he can fit in any system don’t worry about where Royce White will fit in he will be just fine.

B FreeParticipantlol they just used my exact tweener example on Terrence Jones

delfamParticipantTerrence Jones has no right hand, it really is pathetic for someone who has been playing basketball as long as he has.
Right side of the lane and uses left hand for a layup. Cuts across lane from left to right and throws up a hook with his left. It’s just really akward and fundamentally not sound.
