Roy walked into great

Roy walked into great programs. Didnt Larry Brown win a title at Kansas before Roy took over?

How many of you guys are old enough to remember when Kansas had Drew Gooden, Nick Collison, Kenny Gregory, Kirk Heinrich....??? What about the team that had Paul Pierce, Raef Lafrenz, Jacque Vaughn, Scot Pollard, Greg Ostertag??? He had some serious talent with high expectations. The only way he was able to win was with over the top talent....like 4 first round draft picks the same year. Those teams that Roy won with at UNC basically couldve coached themselves. But throw some adversity on him, give him a team with below stellar talent...yeah, he will still win some games, but like Joewolf said, there is a ceiling as to how far he can take a team that isnt totally stacked. Losing to KU in the Great 8 was frustrating because KU was a team that overachieved. Even without KMarsh, UNC couldve won that game. Duke didnt even have a legit PG this year and their frontline in no way compared to UNC's talent, they only had one guy who could even get his own shot....yet look what happened.
