I think if I was Artest I'd

I think if I was Artest I'd stay in LA, solid chance at a ring and playing on arguably the best team.

But from a fans perspective I loved watching him and Kobe go head to head in the playoffs when he was playing for the Rockets, so from that perspective I'd like to see him on a different contender.

I think a shakeup could good

I think a shakeup could good do the lakers well, time to get younger. but even if they make no changes, i think they will be a contending for the championship.

I hear artests trade value is low though, so we will see.

By the way, whats the origin of your name? In japanese that equates to a cute dog.

Artest always changes his

Artest always changes his mind no big deal. he wants to stay then go then stay. I agree with how he seems to get the Blame even though Fisher is worst. Also agree with how the game slows down int he playoffs which helps him out.

I agree with Quincey on this.

I agree with Quincey on this. Take a picture does not happen often lol just kidding Hodges. Ron Artest will be more key come playoffs. I think he is in a slump and also not really being utilized like he was before. Winning cures all ails.

I remember last year they was supposed to lose to OKC yet won the whole thing.

Unless the Lakers want to

Unless the Lakers want to ship Ron Artest out then him wanting to move on would not really make sense as he is starting, has a great chance to add further titles and plays in a major market. He has another 3 years on his deal left after this year but it isn't that huge when you consider the total 3 remaining years are only worth a bit more than Rip Hamilton's guaranteed pay over two years or maybe one year of Rashard Lewis's deal.

Not ture. all his former teammates say he is one of the best teammates they have had. He gets along with his teammates where ever he goes and is well liked around the league among players

Lol

I know I'm going be hated for this, but what if he ended up on Boston for his defense? Lol jkjkjk But real spill I think Ron Artest still has what other teams are looking for. Being on the Lakers makes you change your all around game. And because of that it often destroys certain people's game. IE: Steve Blake. He has to basically work with out the ball most of the time, or not go about it the way he wants when he has the ball. He's a pure point guard on a team thats never truly had one. The real pressure isn't on Ron Ron. The real pressure is on the lakers because who can they find this late in the season that could really guide them onto a path full of wins?

as a Lakers fan id hate to

as a Lakers fan id hate to see Artest being traded from LA.

and quite frankly im not buying all this trade talk, i dont think Kupchak is serious i think he is just motivating his team.

also Artest was quick to come out on twitter and say he wants to stay in LA.

I don't buy the ESPN report

I don't buy the ESPN report either saying Artest wants out..... What does he have to gain by getting traded? If he's on a good team he will just play the exact same role he is in LA and if he's on a bad one it's not like he's gonna play like he did in his his Pacers or Chicago days....

Ron feels like every time the

Ron feels like every time the Lakers fail the blame gets thrown on him. It's a legitimate points but still unless the Lakers are willing to trade Bynum or Odom they have no commodity on their roster that would gain them back a real impact player.

I really like Artest as a

I really like Artest as a player, sure he really hasn't been much of an offensive threat and has been in a major shooting slump this whole season and really hasn't been the same player defensively either, maybe he just needs some time to adjust, I still think he can defend very well, and score the basketball when he is aggressive (its when hes at his best) but as of now it is all mental, with him getting all the so called blame it may be getting to his head and effecting his game, nothing that cannot be fixed though.

Hit it and Quit it

Thats what Ron-Ron did he became spoiled by the rockets and kings where he was able to do what he wanted but now that he's in LA its a different story. Besides Pippen, the 3 spot gets no love in the triangle and Ron-Ron hasnt showen up at all this year 1-10 vs Boston and The Truth was getting easy baskets on what was suppose to be one of the best STOPPERS in the Nba not koo at all. So Lakers Ill bet u now miss the hell out of a guy named Trevor Ariza and they gave him the same F-in contract. He wanted a ring, he got it now he wants out

problem was ariza would not

problem was ariza would not accept the contract the lakers gave ron, ariza wanted significantly more and turned down the same contract ron accepted.

Ariza had the wool puled over

Ariza had the wool puled over his eyes by his agent who had expected a higher pay than he was given. David Lee is/was the worst agent ever. If I recall Bynum had the same one when he was getting his contract extension and Lee was trying to pull Dwight money ntil Bynum finally stepped in and just get something done.

Artest doesn't fit, he's not enough of a slasher or shooter, and has suddenly forgot how to make an impact in a game. If he want's to leave let him, but the actual comment was made by Daniel Artest, not Ron. It's not a HUGE deal because he made similar comments last year, but could be worth keeping an eye on in the coming weeks. Apparently when Ron refuted the comments and said he never said anything and just wanted breakfast, that he didn't sound the most convincing.

Eric Pincus (Emplay) said they're looking at O.J. as their most likely trade target. Doubtful anything goes down as they're apparently just trying to use their Trade X from the Nets.

The story doesn't add up.

The story doesn't add up. Artest has been a champion and an All-Star. This idea that he would be fearful of getting scapegoated is absurd. The people covering the Lakers are acting like the players are as panic-stricken as they are over the team being 34-15. Players don't have the expectation of failure, especially instances where they have won the title and are winning 70 percent of their games. They were 37-12 last year. They weren't the '96 Bulls, and shouldn't be held to that standard.

Like kobe said " i dont care

Like kobe said " i dont care what these doubters are saying they can all kiss my azz" Seems liek we go through this every time for the past two championship seasons, its actually laughable. "whats wrong with the Lakers".."they dont look good" lets see. They are in second place behind a team that is playing better then anytime in recent memory after this amount of games, Lakers are known to sleep walk through the regular season, And its a team full of vets who know when its time to really go to work.

They are not making any trades unless its to dumb some salary ( luke walton). No one wants to go anywhere and the players aren't trippin liek the media, some fans.

I think that there is a

I think that there is a possibility that they'd take someone for the Sasha trade exception and a couple of their three or four second round picks. It wouldn't net them a name player, but if Phil doesn't want to go with Ebanks he might have to get someone to make sure Walton isn't needed in the playoffs. They say Barnes could be back by mid-March, but that could be an Andrew Bynum-return estimate. They'll also be open to see which players come available by buyouts. Michael Redd, Troy Murphy, Jason Kapono, and any one of the Pacer expirings could end up becoming available.
