For me I think Rodney will make a great impact on duke next year. I can also see him getting drafted Late first early second next year as well. Hes 6-8 silky shooter, doesnt need the ball and can create for his size. Pair him up with parker, sullivan and dawkins thats a hell of a shooting team. Said it first.

I think you’re kind of underrating him. He’s a good athlete(not great), has a silky smooth jumper, can handle the ball, find his team mates, rebound, defend a little. He can do everything from the small forward position. There were Grant Hill comparisons for him 2 years ago. (I don’t think he’ll be that good but he has a similar skill set) Like a 2004 Grant Hill. Also has a good pedigree, he was a top 20 recruit coming into college. He actually played shooting guard at Mississippi State, also we all know he improved in that year he sat out while working with Coach K. Hopefully he added some weight to his frame in his year off from playing.

Rodney Hood and Jabari Parker should give Duke a great 3-4 tandem, they can both do everything, so it takes pressure off of both them. If he plays to his potential, he could be pick in the lottery next year. There’s all of those young players, but someone with his talent coming from Duke is bound to get some looks.

Rodney Hood picked the right school and the right coach to learn under…After attending the Olympic tryouts alot of NBA Vets came back and improved their games the next year..

Hood had some things he needed to improve on like his ball handling and using his left hand to finish..But maybe with a year of Coach K’s teaching and watching vets like Curry and Plumlee in practice..I think we might be seeing a much better Rodney Hood then we saw at Miss.State ….

Reports out of Duke practices last year were that Rodney Hood was the best player on the team.

Of course, that is just practice. But it should give you an idea of the type of talent Hood is. I was at the Blue White game last year and I was surprised how good his handle was.
