arowsky205ParticipantWhat does everyone think of this guy? For those of you that don’t know him, he’s a redshirt sophomore transfer from Fresno State that now plays for Washington. He’s 7 feet tall with a 7’4 wingspan and from what I’ve read he’s really athletic. I haven’t watched him play live yet, but his numbers are really impressive. Going into tonight’s game he was averaging 20.0 points, 13.9 boards, and 10.3 blocks per 40 minutes. Yeah, you read that right. Tonghit he had 21 points, 9 boards and 6 blocks in 26 minutes. His 37.7 PER leads the entire country. Again, I have to watch him actually play before I can really evaluate him, but his numbers alone scream future NBA player. Thoughts?

TRC1991ParticipantI live in Seattle and watch every Husky game…
About Robert
– 7’0” 270 with a 7’4” wingspan
– His ability to block shots is miraculous. His timing is excellent and he swats almost every shot within his reach
– He truly is a rim protector
– Very raw offensively, but has excellent hand-eye coordination
– Has a HUUUUGE ceiling. This guy will be an NBA center one day.
– He has no range outside of the paint
– Has a little bit of JaVale McGee in him with some crazy attempts to lead the break that result in outrageous shot attempts and charges
– His ability to catch and put the ball in the hoop over smaller defenders is incredible, he literally doesn’t miss in the paint
– His free throw shooting is the worst of all-time, literally. He chucks the ball at the hoop like throwing a dart at a board
– Has limited dribble drive ability but his shot blocking and ability to run the court are truly remarkable for a man his size

ph90702Marijuana is legal in Washington. Robert Upshaw was kicked off of Fresno State because he smoked too much weed.

natevalParticipantAnother monster games last night.
Min FG FT REB AST BLK STL PTS
31 6-10 4-6 8 1 5 1 16
This draft is loaded with bigs! Im a Celtics fan if Upshaw is around with their 2nd 1st rounder he would be hard to pass up. He’s a risk, they say he has a little JaVal McGee in him
