Report: Knicks to make offer for Melo; Denver will undoubtedly decline

Bloomberg News/ESPN

The New York Knicks will offer Danilo Gallinari, Eddy Curry and a future first-round draft pick for Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony, the team’s flagship radio station reported.

Anthony, a National Basketball Association All-Star who averaged 28.2 points per game last season, is trying to force his way out of Denver, where he has a year remaining on his contract, ESPN reported today. ESPN 1050, the network’s New York radio station, said the Knicks’ potential offer involves Gallinari and Curry’s expiring $11.3 million contract.
-----------------------

I have written this time and time again, but Knicks rumors are just so precious. Danilo "Bad back and all the best 42 percent shooter in NBA history" Gallinari, Eddy Curry, and a first round pick four years in the future (2014 would be the soonest they can deal a first round pick) for Carmelo Anthony and his 28 points per game. Seriously, the difference between this deal and letting him walk is Danilo Gallinari. "Hey Denver, why would you want to put off being a 20-win team again, you can be it this year too."

And the Knicks were last

And the Knicks were last relevant when exactly? Can you honestly say that players, coaches, execs, and fans don't also laugh at the Knicks?

yeh the knicks havent been

yeh the knicks havent been good for awhile but its not even a arguement to say the clippers are at the bottom.

if it was a grading system the knicks have been a d- and the clippers have been a F minus. the clippers are on a level where you have to look into other sports to find a franchise with a worst history then them. im talking decades...

in barber shops people can

in barber shops people can say" man remeber when the knicks ad ewing and almost beat the bulls or made it to the title game" or for the older generation "remeber when we had black jesus and won the title"

with the clippers...."remeber when we had q-ruch and darius miles hitting there head after a dunk" remeber when we made the playoffs"

both are bad but no one is comparable to the horrible horrible clippers....even the bad news bears were better

Who cares about people.

Who cares about people. Carmelo Anthony was ten years old when the Knicks made the Finals in 1994. What he knows is that Baron Freaking Davis hangs out with Mos Def and Jessica Alba, and that LA loves a winner.

they are the worst period its not even disputable. they are bad in the present there history is just as bad

and yeah l.a loves a winner but too bad the clippers arent winners they are on the other end of the spectrum
