juves4783Participantwith the injuries to durant and westbrook, okc is getting an opportunity to unveil all their young prospects from the previous drafts. jackson is obviously taking the lead as the go-to guy during this period but lamb and jones have shown some flashes of becoming solid nba players.
assuming they continue to put up the same production throughout the injuries…
with jackson being a restricted free agenth this offseason and jones and lamb being restricted free agents the following year, should their be any rush to move these guys for future assets (after westbrook and/or durant come back, so the thunder can stay within striking distance of the playoffs)? also if the thunder end up making it into the playoffs with a healthy durant and westbrook, do you feel that maybe these injuries were the best thing to happen to strengthen the bench by giving them some added run?

Magic JordanParticipantSo trade their bench depth after they get valuable reps? KD and Westbrook would love that. Eventually OKC I’d going to have to realize they need to put a contending team around those two or its going to be too late. OKC should be past the asset collection phase of their rebuild.

juves4783Participantwell to me, they won’t be able to match a max deal for reggie jackson. as far as perry jones, they just drafted huestis and roberson so it seems a little redundant. i can see the need for lamb and probably shouldn’t have included him in the conversation.

Mad MaxParticipantwho is going to offer Reggie Jackson a max contract?

NardDog NationParticipantThe Knicks likely will. They need a PG badly that could potentially compete against the league’s elite. Jackson is a far cry from being elite himself but he’s the best they can do given their circumstances.

OhCanada-ParticipantThe problem is albeit extremely talented both Jones and Lamb are still not ready to contribute. Neither player has established a role and other then being capable scoring out of iso situations both have been inconsistant there as well.
Adams has established a role as an gritty and valuable defender that you rarely see out of position. On the offensive end ge crashes the boards for easy oppurtunities and tip ins, he sets hard screens and has soft hands while rolling to the basket. He is a pesky defender that gets under gis opponents skin as well.
Lance Thomas, and Andre Roberson have also established roles for when Westbrook and Durant return. Then guys like Morrow, Telfair, Collison, and Perkins knoww thier role as nba veterans. I stilk dont see where Lamb and PJ3 fit into this.
Jones averaged 4-rpg, 1-apg, 0.4-spg and 0.2-bpg in 32-mpg. Lamb has a 33% fg and 18% 3pt.
This really is not working. Morrow has proved to be the best option other than Jackson while OKC is in crutches for now yet Jones and Lamb have a load of untapped potential.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantI dont see him making it to the trade deadline,
he is messing up Perkins ability to be MVP.
