reeves nelson with the lakers summer team debuting today

Yeah i was a Reeves Nelson fan after witnessing him play so well as a sophomore..I had him on my 2nd team All American list before his jr. year..And even though he was undersized and didnt have a true position at the next level,i felt he could've been an early to mid 2nd rounder..Because he was tough, hard nosed, had nice perimeter skills and could finish at the rim..
But his only not was he a disappointment,so was the entire UCLA team, who some had rated in the top 10...I hope oing over there helped him mature..I hope he's mattured...
*His case made me that of another talented but troubled player, thats Renardo Sidney who decided to turn pro,but showed up at the Nets combine weighing over 320 lbs and didnt get a chance to play, becuz he spent most of the time on the sidelines using an inhaler, which doomed his tiny chances he had of getting drafted...As expected Sidney went undrafted and a few days later admitted he didnt know what he was going to do..I hope Sidney can found his way before its too late....Even his family is worried about him now...Many now they realize the nba riches they once envisioned for him that once seemed so close, now seems so far away....And where were they when almost everyone agreed that he needed some discipline in his life?
I don't think he will mess with Metta World Peace.

admittingly im a rare nelson fan. Im curious to see if he can make it in the nba. Last we saw him, he was all pac 10 first team leading a solid 23-10 ucla team with 14 points and 9 rebounds as a sophomore. As a junior, he didnt have a single game where he wasnt suspended for at least a half or was in trouble. He did play kansas's thomas robinson straight up for 30 minutes to a standstill before robinson continuously sealed him down low the last 10 minutes leading to a jayhawk win. A day later, reeves was gone.
But if he is focused, the guy can play and has skills. Im pulling for him, despite the fact he did dumb stuff at ucla and got in fights and peed on honeycutts clothes.
