Lotto StudParticipantI’m not making this about a race issue, but why is it schools like Kentucky, G’Town, Duke, UNC, UCLA, Arizona only recruit certain type of players.
- Kentucky-1 & Done
- G’Town-Big men
- Duke-System guys
- UNC-System guys
- UCLA-Local
- Arizona-PG’s

HadzialijagicParticipantArizona doesnt just recruit pgs i dont know where you got that from. Georgetown recruits other positions but they go after big men primarily for their princeton offense. UCLA goes after local players because UCLA is the top destination for college players on the pacific. Kentucky goes after one and dones because the one and dones want to improve their draft stock at kentucky. UNC and Duke can get just about any player kentucky doesnt get so they aim for guys that work in their offense.

Lotto StudParticipantWhat I mean by Arizona taking PG’s, is over the years that has been their primary position in recruiting

HadzialijagicParticipantover the last 3 years of Arizonas 12 recruits only 2 were point guards. So i still dont understand where you get taht from.

The lake show2Kentucky doesn’t just recruit one and done’s or else they would have a new roster every year. Look at more than just last season. Plus the guys they recruit are not just getting recruited by them, they are getting recruited by every top college in America including Duke.
None of the teams you named just recruit the type of players you named. Where are you getting this false info from? I’m guessing what you meant to ask it why those type of players/positions tend to go to those schools.

The lake show2Arizona has got more players from other position’s over the years than they have from the point guard position

llperezucla recruits all over. Of course there is such a good talent pool from socal that many guys are from there. But just off the top of my head some ucla recruits not from cal: earl watson(kansas), Carlos Boozer(alaska, ucla was his number 2 school), dan gadzuric(holland), jerome moiso, luc richard mbah a moute, alfred aboya(africa), kevin love(oregon), lazeric jones(chicago)….Again that is just off the top of my head im sure there are numerous other guys they recruited from everywhere.

The lake show2How are any of those guys system players? They didnt play a UNC type system in H.S so what makes them UNC system players? Frasor played up tempo Jwill type game in H.S. Marshall lloked more like a Duke type player. I never watched Drew in H.S

DanEboyParticipantG-Town may traditionally be known for it’s big men, however, this year they were led by guards.

dragons12Participantwhat happened to larry drew….. great argument… calapari just recruits great players doesnt care about winning it all. Coach k has always recruited those guys and look what’s its done for him so why stop

The lake show2Whats your evidence that they are system guys? There’s more evidence against it because they didn’t play a Duke or UNC system while in H.S or AAU.
And how does you’re Ariziona PG theory make any sense when all you did was name point guards ?
UNC ty lawson,Ed Cota,Marshall,Raymond Felton,Larry Drew,
One and done’s Ohio st- Mike conley,Greg Oden,Daquan Cook,Bj Mullans,Kosta Kofus, Jared sullinger
See how i just named point guards for UNC and that group happens to be better than you’re Arizona Group. So does UNC only recruit Point guards?..Ohio St only recruit one and done’s?
According to you’re theory i can say UK only recruits black guys or Ohio St only Recruit tall guys and that would make just as much sense
All you did was name big guys for G’town like no other school has big men. And all of them arent even that good which makes even less sense for you’re arguement.

The lake show2Lol How you figure that Cal doesn’t care about winning. You make about as much sense as him. You know what throws a very big hole in that argument? One is the fact that He wins alot and Two he’s not the only one that recruited these players. How about you go check out who else recruited the guys Coach Cal got. Watch how many times these schools pop up on the list of who recruited them
UNC
Kansas
Duke
Texas
Syracuse
Uconn
Pittsburgh’s
I mean good lord its like y’all didn’t even try to do any research on this one. defiantly amateur hour
