Forget Jordan and Pippen for

Forget Jordan and Pippen for a moment. The Bulls had Phil Jackson and most importantly, Dennis Rodman. Rodman would make Lebron's life a living hell.

72-10 Bulls for sure.

It'd be a fun series, but I

It'd be a fun series, but I think the 1995-1996 Bulls would win in 6 games.

They were a better team in just about every way. They were better coached... Better on offense and defense. They'd absolutely kill the Heat on the glass.

The Bulls could go small with Rodman, Kukoc, Pippen, Jordan and Harper and put a clamp on the Heat's spread offense.

LeBron James is now a

LeBron James is now a complete player with little to no holes in his game. You're not going to stop him, but I do believe the Bulls had the defensive scheme, defenders and defensive versatility to make him work a hell of a lot harder than we're seeing with teams now.

I could see Pippen or Jordan harassing him so bad, he'd need a pick at mid-court.

For all you Lebron jock

For all you Lebron jock riders, do you realize that Rodman, Jordan, and Pippen all made the all-defensive 1st team that year. Rodman would have made lebrons life hell! If he guarded guys like Shaq during the playoffs and Karl Malone during the season, guarding lebron and getting into his head would be a breeze. Did you see how frustrated he got when he got fouled by taj and boozer. The 72-10 would also give him different looks by having pippen and Jordan guard him.

how about the flipside of

how about the flipside of that. Lebron is probably the best defender in the league today but rarely gets credit for being so. I will say that Harper was perhaps more deserving than Jordan for making all-defensive team. So that team had 4 of the leagues best defenders. Jordan was an overrated defender later in his career but still got the credit over those more deserving.

Also, you can make Lebron's life hell, but he has some pretty good players that can make you pay, especially being that Lebron has outstanding court vision and IQ. Not saying who I would take, just saying...why do you have to be a Lebron jock rider just because someone prefers his team over Jordan's?

May the God's of negs strike me down. lol.

Harper was a very good

Harper was a very good defender who took on a lot of the tough assignments, but no way was Harper more deserving than MJ in 1995-1996 lol.

MJ was probably a top 10 defender in the NBA that season.

it would be a tough matchup.

it would be a tough matchup. I can't say the heat couldn't win a series but I take the bulls most of the time. The difference in my opinion is that Bulls team could get it done in everyway. This heat team while much better in the half court then they have been are still not quite as effective as the bulls. Both teams are pretty deep. It's true though Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman change up on Lebron. This heat team has the right pieces though to matchup. I think it would come down to the bulls bench and the pg spot. I think chalmers can come up big but doesn't have enough consistancy and would get harrassed against this bulls team. But it is a great all time matchup. I hope in my next life I can watch this because I would love to see it.

What?? Lebron aint SHAQ!!

What?? Lebron aint SHAQ!! Lebron would beat Rodman off the dribble everytime EASILY and Lebron is stronger the Rodman, Rodman has no advantage! Lebron has played maybe 3 BAD GAMES IN HIS LIFE you guys forget that!??? Lebron Never plays bad!

And Lebron wouldn't need a pick for Rodman, Pippen OR JORDAN!!! He needed one for Rondo because Rondo is lower to the ground and is an elite level defender, Pippen,Rodman and Jordan are all the same height as Lebron but slower! LEBRON WOULDNT NEED NO PICK U STUPID B*&@H @kingofbums

^ r u stupid?? dennis rodman

^ r u stupid?? dennis rodman was a hell of a defender... he was tough as nails.. athletic and had at least a 7'3'' armspan...not saying hes stronger than LeBron but he would be up there...when ur only 6'7'' and won multiple rebounding titles and wrestled with the likes of hakeem, david robinson, karl Malone and Charles barkley and got ur fair share of rebounds... ur pretty f*cking strong and athletic.. not saying LeBron couldn't get past rodman at all but rodman would make it hard on him w/o a dobut... as so would pippen and Jordan... this shouldn't even be a discussion

I'd have to go with the bulls team winning the series

Solely because they're better in the post....I actually think this miami team COULD beat that bulls team in a 7 games series but it's more likely that the bulls would win.....like if they played 3 sets of a 7 game series, 2 sets or rounds the bulls would win and one of them the heat would win. Nobody can stop LeBron but LeBron NOBODY, not Rodman, not Pippen, not ANYBODY he'd still get his but the reason the bulls have a better chance of winning starts with post play. When the outside shots aren't falling they can dump it in and get a bucket with more regularity.

You are missing the point

No one is saying Rodman would stop Lebron. You don't stop Lebron, but if you make him take over 20 shots to get his 20 points then that means Wade and Bosh aren't getting as many shots as they normally do and that means less open 3's for Allen, Chalmers and Battier.

The combined defense of Rodman and Pippen (not Jordan because I want to say his legs for offense) is enough to slow Lebron down and there is NO WAY this Heat team beats Chicago in a 7 game series.

Another important factor is this game being officiated by 90's standards or 2013 standards? The game was a lot rougher in the 90's.

My honest opinion... Not Rodman

My personal opinion is, the Bulls would beat the heat, 4-2. They wont be blowouts, but they'll have the better 4th quarters than Miami.

However, I highly doubt that Rodman would slow Lebron down. Rodman is one of my all time favs and I know he was a tough-as-nails defender, but I dont see him stopping Lebron at all. That's really insulting the skillset that Lebron has. Let's not talk like Lebron is not one of the best we have seen. He actually can handle the ball guys, and drive at will, and shoot the ball from anywhere, and post. If you think he can guard Lebron, Im ASSUMING some of you think he may be able to guard Kobe, MJ, Melo, KD, T-Mac, and great wings we've witnessed... I highly doubt it. I think we just got carried away a little bit. He may can hold Bron for a few positions, but not much more than that.
But to be REAL...

I DO see Scottie Pippen causing hell for Lebron. Real Hell! Not saying that he'll shut down
Lebron, but I think if anone can do it, it'll be Pippen. Scottie is taller, longer, quick, strong, and just a tenacious defender.
Scottie would be the one that could cause Lebron to settle for those fadeaway 3s and really take him out of his game.
I think Lebron's a better player than Pippen, but I think Pippen can hold his own against Bron.

Lebron

I don't think you have to stop Lebron to beat this Miami team. That Chicago team had the players to match up with anything Miami likes to do. They would kill the heat on the boards and if Miami wanted to play small they would make life hell for the other guys because realistically their smaller guys were their best players.. Don't overlook the guys outside of Pippen and Jordan either. Kukoc and Harper were very good. Rodman owned the boards and was a defensive monster. I don't know if I have ever seen a guy do what he has done to Shaq at times during his prime from the defensive end. Kerr was a deadly shooter and Longley would be an upgrade over any of Miami's actual centers.

Realistically looking at things, this team has had problems with the Derrick Rose Bulls. That was basically one strong offensive player and a few solid defenders. The 72 win team had great defenders and multiple guys that could light you up. If you think Miami would win, I think you are basing it off of what Wade used to be, the numbers Bosh used to put up in Toronto and the memory of Ray Allen as an all star.

Bulls. Scottie Pippen

Bulls. Scottie Pippen wouldn't lock down LeBron, but if there's one person that could give LeBron a ton of trouble and get him out of his game it's Scottie. Regardless of the one on one matchup with Bron the Bulls were a better team defensively as a whole. There's no team in the NBA today that compares to that Bulls team's team d and I think people are overlooking that and just focusing on one on one matchups. Also, IMO that Bulls team was way tougher than the Heat and would bully them on the boards. Lastly, did I mention Michael Jordan? The best closer of all-time, cold-blooded. It's a wrap.
