While every team in the lottery can bring their Anthony Davis jersey if they win the first overall pick, the gap between Thomas Robinson, Bradley Beal, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Andre Drummond is extremely narrow for me and highly intriguing.
Drummond came into the season as a possible number one overall prospect and consensus top-two, but the level of his rawness and the emergence of the other four makes the order of the top-five beyond Davis circumstantial and fluid.
1. Charlotte Bobcats: Anthony Davis, Kentucky
2. Washington Wizards: Thomas Robinson, Kansas
3. Cleveland Cavaliers: Bradley Beal, Florida
4. New Orleans Hornets: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Kentucky
5. Sacramento Kings: Andre Drummond, Connecticut
6. Portland Trail Blazers: Perry Jones, Baylor
7. Golden State Warriors: Harrison Barnes, North Carolina
8. Toronto Raptors: Jeremy Lamb, Connecticut
9. Detroit Pistons: Terrence Jones, Kentucky
10. New Orleans Hornets: Damian Lillard, Weber State
11. Portland Trail Blazers: Dion Waiters, Syracuse
12. Milwaukee Bucks: Tyler Zeller, North Carolina
13. Phoenix Suns: Jared Sullinger, Ohio State
14. Houston Rockets: Austin Rivers, Duke
15. Philadelphia 76ers: Meyers Leonard, Illinois
16. Houston Rockets: John Henson, North Carolina
17. Dallas Mavericks: Terrence Ross, Washington
18. Minnesota Timberwolves: Kendall Marshall, North Carolina
19. Orlando Magic: Marquis Teague, Kentucky
20. Denver Nuggets: Royce White, Iowa State
21. Boston Celtics: Fab Melo, Syracyse
22. Boston Celtics: Orlando Johnson, UC Santa Barbara
23. Atlanta Hawks: Quincy Miller, Baylor
24. Cleveland Cavaliers: Jeff Taylor, Vanderbilt
25. Memphis Grizzlies: Tony Wroten, Washington
26. Indiana Pacers: John Jenkins, Vanderbilt
27. Miami Heat: Doron Lamb, Kentucky
28. Oklahoma City Thunder: Andrew Nicholson, St. Bonaventure
29. Chicago Bulls: Jared Cunningham, Oregon State
30. Golden State Warriors: Draymond Green, Michigan State

Surprised that they have Orlando Johnson at 22. I saw him play two games this year against LBSU and was not really impressed with him. I know it was not a large sample size, but I do not think he is worthy of a first round pick. I currently have him going undrafted. I think he impressed at the Nets combine though. I know he is not on T.V. much, but what is everybody’s thoughts on Orlando Johnson and the rest of this mock?

mosdefParticipantOrlando Johnson has a ginormous wingspan but I dont think he will be drafted that high. I can see early 2nd round. I also think now Barnes is the 4th best player in the draft but size usually outweighs a wing player. I also think Dion Waiters is going WAY too high

draftmangtParticipantNo Moe Harkless in the 1st round? I definetely take him ahead of Jeff Taylor and John Jenkins if i’m looking to add a wing player.

steppxxxxzParticipantyeah……i love orlando johnson AS A 2nd ROUND pick.
Id say
1 ad
2 MKG
3 Robinson…
after that who knows, really. Drummond wont go to Sac….they have one of those already in Cousins. Big and lazy. I think Zeller goes higher and Jones lower, and Barnes lower and Rivers potentially much lower. Waiters i like that high…if not higher. Harkless goes in first Id say…..Jeff taylor might even go higher actually. I see no way in the world Cunningham is a first rounder. No way. Jae Crowder might sneak in…Ezeli might, too. And Ross is too high….he’s 1st round but in the mid 20s. Wroten is a wild card. He worries people, with good reason, but he has talent. Royce White might be a surprise top 15 pick. Meyers Leonard, too. Centers are in demand. GMs will roll the dice on size. Where is Moultre? Teague could fall to the second. Bad point guard class and everyone knows it. Lots of guys rising…..Hollis Thompson, JaMychal Green, Kyle O Quinn. Id say Quincy Miller’s knee has to really check out for him to go in the first. Kevin Murphy another guy might sneak in at the bottom of round one.

eazy_peachesParticipantThey don’t have Moultrie going in the first? I doubt he falls to the second.

M-EazyParticipantWhy would the Kings take Drummond with Cousins being their future at the center position?

iguapops420ParticipantJohnson measured out 6’3 w/o shoes. 6’11 wingspan is good, but nothing to right home about. Certainly not first round material IMO. Mid second I’d take him, but Definitely not the 1st.

joecheck88ParticipantI’m a big Waiters fan but I don’t see lottery at this point. I think Drummond next to Cousins would be crazy good. Demarcus is really skilled and if Drimmond is half of what I expect it’s going to be hard to beat them.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantOrlando Johnson measured 6’3 at the Nets Combine, down 2 inches from his listed college height…That might effect his draft stock a little..But most of the mocks drafts i’ve seen have him in the 2nd round or undrafted..Johnson is a good shooter, has a great motor, decent rebounder,3 point nba range and has nba built..But being consistent has been his problem..1 day he looks like a future nba starter..The next day he can look like a career D-Leaguer..He could be 1 of the draft’s biggest surprises…
Waiters is moving up the draft boards, scouts are raving about his ability to score in bunches, his aggressiveness and ability to get his own shot and create for team mates…..Some are comparing him to Wade,i dont see that..He plays more like a taller version of Nate Robinson..
Terrance Jones is a player moving into the top 10..Alot of teams sometimes play small ball during moments of games and his ability to play both forwards spots and make plays will be attractive to alot of teams…I saw on a website where someone compared him to Ron Artest…
After the workouts alot of teams will be trying to move up to get Austin Rivers…So i dont see him getting out of the top 10..
Justin Hamilton from LSU might be another Brad Miller..He’s a skilled tough big man that can rebound and shoot…I’m surprised not many people have heard about him..Even guys that say they’ve seen LSU play this year…lol..
Robbie Hummel might be better a better nba player than his former teammates Johnson & Moore that are playing for Boston..
Thomas Robinson’s agent is over hyping him..I love his game but he’s not the 2nd best player in this draft….top 5 to 10 is where he should go..
And forget the age thing, Bernard James is said to be 27..But he’s a player…Great motor and good post defender..
