The "Real" Jordan Rules
Michael Jordan truly was a pioneer that transcended the game....but for some who may not have remembered, it wasnt easy. He had a number of things go in his favor once his popularity increased, thus opening the doors for other players.
Lets examine some points of interest.
at UNC, he used to always get called for traveling when he would do his pump fake and drive. this happened a lot early in his NBA career as well. it eventually was argued that MJ's foot was quicker than the eye and the refs just were not used to the amazing quickness of such a move. eventually, this went away...a main benefactor of this rule, who cited the same reason as Jordan was James Worthy.
The NBA originally banned the Jordan 1 because it didnt match the NBA dress code. The shoe was such a phenomenon that Nike paid Jordan's $5k per game fine for everytime he wore the shoe against league policy.
Who can forget the jealousy and envy that led to the infamous "freeze out" in the All Star game? Little did they know they were freezing out a player who had such an impact he could adversly affect their careers should he chose to do so.
but this was one post but the spam blocker kept triggering.....so I had to chop it up until I found out the culprit. It was using the word "AIR" in front of Jordan.
