Ghost01ParticipantI know Ray has been revered in Boston and has been a really great part of that TEAM. But the bottomline is, if they couldnt beat Miami now, a year later, a year older, and a year of experience for Miami isnt going to make there odds of beating the Heat next year much better. Allen could help a number of teams, namely and obviously the Chicago Bulls, and i think its in his best interest to do so.
That being said I would bet on him staying. I just think theirs real potential for him to help Chicago get past Miami, as opposed to helping Boston do so.

goneParticipantA healthy Rondo and a full year with Jeff Green wouldnt help?

Ghost01ParticipantThey were already down 2-0 before Rondo got hurt. Jeff Green isnt going to have an impact on the games if hes behind Ray and PP on the depth chart…just not enough minutes. KG looked gassed in alot of this series. Hes about done.

Da1potParticipantI agree, I think he will go elsewhere and he will be one of hte hottest free agents because there are some good playoff teams lacking quality shooting guards right now, such as Dallas and chicago

BKKnicksfanParticipantHe’s not leaving 10 million on the table to go somewhere else. He can win in Boston. Boston isn’t dead now.

Da1potParticipantBoston isn’t dead, but somewhere might offer him the better opportunity to win.

BKKnicksfanParticipantDallas nor Chicago provide a better place to win then Boston IMO. I think Boston needs a couple tweaks and they are right there.

kobyzParticipantand after Ray Ray opt out and Sign with the Bulls lets do this trade: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3wvymve, that will give the best chance to winn the Miami Heat.

Ghost01ParticipantBK- your an idiot. Chicago and Dallas are better teams than boston RIGHT NOW, let alone a year from now. What minor tweaks? Like getting rid of there 3 best players? They are OLD they were outclassed in this series and i still dont see how fools dont understnad this. The Bulls can give Ray 10 mil. And he is litterally the missing link on that team without a doubt.

boxn1ParticipantDallas is just as old as Boston, this is their last ride together. Chicago needs another attacking player. Be it a guy off the bench or a starter. I say Rodney Stuckey from Detroit fits the mold. Ray Allen should stay and finish in Boston

kanyedabestParticipantno way ray leaves the brother hood of the original BIG 3…. him KG nd mr winer aka pierce are to loyal to one another

Kinguy11ParticipantKobyz your trade would not go down because the bulls would trade Noah, Deng, etc for 2 veteren players, well past there prime.
The Bulls would have to hire David Kahn for this trade to actually happen

r377Participanti would say boston will make 1 or 2 offseason moves and keep the same core players for one last shot….
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/11/2011 - 9:14pm #530875
oden07Participanthe should opt out then go to the heat: Wade, Allen, Lebron, Bosh, whoever you want to throw in there

omphalosParticipantIf the lock-out happens Boston might have another chance with a few tweaks, no way they can make it through another 82 game season and compete though, they just run out of puff. Very frustrating that Rondo was injured though, effectively killed any chance we had of winning because we were relying solely on KG to dominate Bosh, which he just doesn’t enough legs to do consistently.
I can see Ray Allen retiring a Celtic; he got his ring, he got the 3pt record, and he is relatively healthy, better to go out on top than ruin his "green streak" by playing for the Bulls.

PAUL125Participantim thinking ray allens going 2 stay as much as he would make a huge impact with chicago, he;s too loyal imo to leave the celtics. one of the many reasons i love him, and i aint even a celtics fan

DareelParticipantBoston is done…mgmnt gon break them up….that jeff green trade was the signal that it’s coming and they going younger. KG is FA and Ray has option. if that the case i think Thibbs can open Ray Allen mind to the idea..he would be perfect fit for the bulls
