Raptors/Clips trade idea

Very simple

Hedo for Kaman

Hedo wants out of Tdot and need a big to replace CB4 and LAC needs a 3. Thoughts?

********QUICK EDIT********

I was waiting for feedback to adjust the trade and I like the 13th and Hedo for Kaman... throw your ideas out if you want

No Way. Kaman was a great

No Way. Kaman was a great player last season and is probably a top 5 center in the West.

Hedo is not worth Chris Kaman

Hedo and 13th? Maybe

why would the clippers give

why would the clippers give up an allstar caliber center like chris kaman when kaman is now in his prime of his career and still has a lot more years to him, hedo has a high salary and is nowhere near the player that kaman is

the 13th and hedo is a great

the 13th and hedo is a great idea but i still dont get why the clippers would do it, kaman is one of the best centers in the league and hedo is an ok small foward wh wont do great with all the talent that the clippers have already

Trade possibility

Toronto Trades: Hedo, DeRozan,

Clippers Trade: Kaman, 2011 first round pick (lotto Protected)

Clippers fill their lineup with athletic, young high-upside guys:

C: Jordan, PF: Griffin, SF: DeRozan, SG: Eric Gordon

This immediately becomes a scary(er) transition team with the Baron Running the Point.

Toronto knows that it's not winning anything soon, might as well get Kaman to play center so bargnani can develop at the 4.

Thoughts?

Turk struggled a lot in

Turk struggled a lot in Toronto this season because he wasn't content with his role. He didn't handle the ball like he did in Orlando. They had him playing off the ball, which doesn't really play to his strengths.

That'd be the same with the Clippers. Baron Davis is a super ball dominant point guard with little to no ability to play off of the ball. Turk would be forced to play off the ball more than he'd like... Not only that, he'd be fighting with Eric Gordon for the other ball handling opportunities.

I think this would be a bad deal for the Clippers, especially considering DeAndre Jordan isn't ready to be a starter... I don't even know if he's ready to be a consistent rotational player yet.

The Clippers will have the opportunity to land a young and CHEAP small forward in the draft. They can also re-sign Rasual Butler OR Travis Outlaw. They don't need Turk. He's on the wrong side of 30 and owed a lot of money.

Why the heck would the Raptors trade DeRozan?

And Knicksboy why in the blue blazes would the Raptors be dumb enough to take on Currys contract?

Actually the question should

Actually the question should be why would Knicks be stupid enough to take on Hedo's contract. Curry contract is not hurting Knicks that much now. They could have more cap space but in all truthfulness they will not be able to sign enough people for that to matter. Curry contract is up after this next season and can be moved maybe to get Dalembert from sixers who will not need him in they get Cousins.

how about the clippers

how about the clippers actually make a smart decision and keep both kaman and jordan...ignore hedo turkoglu...take paul george at #9 and turn themselves into a legit playoff contender? they're already on the right path by getting rid of mike dunleavy

next move is to find a future PG because i cant see any team winning a championship with baron davis as their starting PG

I'm with Taylor..

No way they trade Kaman for Turkey Glue.. That would be crazy! If the Clippers get Paul George, Johnson, or Aminu, and come up with someone in free agency this summer (Joe Johnson, John Salmons, etc), then they should be in good shape, as long as Griffin becomes the beast that we think he'll be.

I would trade Kaman for Dalembert + Iggy though.

Not only would we not trade

Not only would we not trade Kaman, but DeAndre Jordan is still no way near ready to play starting minutes yet. Still his lapses in concentration lead to second chances, easy fouls, bad shot selection, etc...

Knicksboy I like the Turk for Curry trade but why do you have to throw in the Pick and Chandler.Just make it a straight swap Ney York gets a versatile SF and hell play under Dantoni and Toronto gets Cap Relief...

not happening

New york is not looking for old guys in decline. They'll let curry expire or go for young guys.

Clippers are actually in great shape right now and would have zero interest in Turkoglu. Kaman is a good player.

The jazz would never want turkoglu. plus, boozer and bosh would never sign off on that trade.

Raptors best option is to turn back time and slap Colangelo in the face for even thinking about Turkoglu.

Next best option is probably Orlando... something like Bass and Pietrus.

maybe Washington for Arenas + picks.

To send Hedo back to Orlando

To send Hedo back to Orlando would just be awkward for everyone.

DeRozan at the 3 - no way. Kid is undersized for that and not nearly a good enough defender (or even scorer). I went to two Raptors games (Mia and Orl) and he looks tiny out there. I couldn't believe he's 6'6" (or whatever his official height is).
