Raptors - 4 in a row

With a win over the pistons today the Raptors have won 4 in a row.

Any coincidence Bargarbagi is not playing and Ed Davis is in the starting lineup ?

Alan Anderson has done alright coming off the bench.

I think Andrea's days in Toronto are definitely numbered....

Raps are playing well. It's a bummer Kyle Lowry hasn't been 100% healthy yet.

And as for Bargs, he'll have to make arrangements elsewhere to eat his pasta...

Ive said it before but i

Ive said it before but i could maybe see OKC showing some interest in him. They have Perk, Ibaka, Thabeet and Collison as their bigs. All pretty handy defensively but not really offensively minded. Bargnani would do well to bring some scoring off the bench...

If that's the case, which one of those guys could the Thunder give up for him???

Ibaka - Hell No

Collison - Ehh. Perhaps, But he means so much to them. Their veteran glue guy

Thabeet - They already have a young center to develop in Jonas Vala...Vala...You know his last name.

Perk - They need him to protect that paint with Dwight in the west now

Bargs would make a good piece for OKC, but it's tough to fathom who they give up.

the raps reportedly really

the raps reportedly really liked jeremy lamb pre draft so theres something to consider. I also see calderon being a good fit on okc. I think he is an upgrade over maynor and he's an expiring contract so there may be some interest there...

It's also good that Ed Davis

It's also good that Ed Davis is getting the opportunity. I was rooting for this kid when got drafted. He's had a slow start so far in his career, but it looks like he's getting into rhythm. He also looks great on the offensive end - More than people want to give him credit for. He possesses excellent footwork and he bangs in the post. He just needs to become a better finisher under the rim though.

The problem is, the Raptors

The problem is, the Raptors have waited so long and now Bargnani's trade value is almost obsolete. They should have traded him from last season when he was playing well. Now, the best you can get for him is 20 cents on the dollar. And that's Canadian currency.

Jose is a huge part of the reason they are winning. He has what it takes to be a great PG especially with those assist numbers (17 LOL).

As much as I like Lowry, he

As much as I like Lowry, he was a part of their terrible play. He was putting up numbers but he was trying to be the man taking a bunch of really bad shots and shooting a bad percentage. I know a lot of Raptor fans just want Calderon gone, but he's productive just about every time he plays. He spreads the ball around, gets easier shots for his teammates and he can help spread the floor with hsi shooting. Not including his 17 assist performance today, he's av'ged 14/11/4 on 48% from the floor 49 from 3 and a 4.4/1 AT ratio.
That is really, really good. He's a good trade asset and he's only improving his value so while he's still on the team why not play him more? IMO, if their goal is to win more games and not tank in order to keep their pick this yr, then I'd like to see a small ball lineup of: JC, Lowry, Derozan, Ed Davis, Valanciunas with Bargnani coming off the bench. You get distribution and decision making, slashing, shot making, rebounding, better interior defense and Valanciunas...who seems to play better with Calderon running PnR because he'll actually pass him the ball.

calderon replacing injured

calderon replacing injured starter = top 10 pg, calderon as a starter = top 20 pg. just watch the raptors will end up having lowry come off the bench and calderon wont be playing as well anymore and the pg rotation is effed up and inconsistent once again. just ask tj ford and jarret jack. bargs is on his way out, but the biggest problem is the pg situation when lowry gets healthy. remember that he wanted to leave houston last year cuz he didnt like coming off the bench.

forgot to add, this winning streak will not do us any good. we are just going to end up finishing 10-12 again for another pointless season.

That's why you play Lowry

That's why you play Lowry with Calderon so Kyle doesn't &$#%#&@! and moan.

As for the last part, yeah, maybe they should just continue to suck so they at least have a top pick to look forward to.
If they're not gonna start Calderon, they should trade him now.

Raptors and injuries

Lets be real Raptor fans these injuries are actually helping out the Raptors, its about time Coach Casey played his best players. The Raptors are winning because they are playing the guy who should be on the floor and the injuries are forcing Casey to play them. Logic shows Ed Davis is 13 and 10 guy when he receives starting minutes. Also, Ed balance the floor on both ends of the court, plain and simply. Hope they continue the run! Don't sleep on Jose he's a big part of it as well and Lowry will have to prove his way back to starting spot as of now. Lastly, Bargnani gotta go, He's not in the future plans for the team and that's Raptor Nation Logic, see you later pasta boy!

As to the posters question...

As to the posters question...

The Raps started out 4-19

Bargs goes down with an injury and the Raps won 4 out of 5 including their last 4 in a row.

Conincidence? I think not. Bargs is truely awful. The only thing he does is shoot (average). I've gone over his deficiencies many times but this seems like the best evidence of how much his style of play hurts teams. He's a hole in the defense, a chucker on offense and he ruins team flow.

If its a coincidence, someone please explain how a team goes on its longest win streak since 2010 without their "best player"?
