Rank 5 players in order you feel deserve to be paid the most

Obviously NBA is not like MLB, where in baseball, an owner can pretty much pay however max the player ask for. So a "max contract" is used in the NBA. But lets say the NBA had the same cap rules as MLB, what would be the 5 players you think would be paid the most?

Well heres my mine:

1) Lebron James: Based on his age, and cultural icon, and talent, I feel he would be the highest paid.

2) Kevin Durant: I think Durant may someday be better than Lebron, but I don't think hes as Global Iconic as Lebron, but his age and talent would make him the 2nd best paid.

3) Dwight Howard: True Centers are hard to find, and hes the best in the League and hes still young.

4) Kobe Bryant: Hes one of the oldest on this list, but he is still Marketable and just as good as anyone in the league right now.

5) Derrick Rose: Perhaps 2 more years and he will take the crown as the best PG in the league. Hes young and talented, but I put him as #5 because his personality I wouldn't consider marketable, hes very quiet and reserve much like Duncan.

@ Knicksboy

I feel like Durant is not done evolving as a player. Hes still 22 years old I believe, and I believe he will learn how to become a better passer and better defender, hes already a better scorer than Lebron. When I watch Durant, I cant help but see Kobe's desire and killer instict in him, he just has that "it" factor, Im not saying Lebron doesn't have "it" but he has yet to show/prove it to me.

Durant has yet to prove he

Durant has yet to prove he has the "it" actor at all as well. He's done nothing so far to be honest..

I understand. I just feel

I understand. I just feel alot of people say that and I don't see it. Durant is not a athletic freak to me, he's never gonna get bigger (which will hinder him from really doing well in the post) and he was never a great passer. His defense will be good to me not great.

I just feel MANY people overrated the playoff series with OKC and the World Championships with him.

@Knicksboy

You can't really bring up the no post game thing for Durant cuz Lebron doesn't have much of a post game either though. I hope that Durant ends up better than Lebron, and no doubt the sky's the limit for him, but I'm hesitant to say that he will be better

The difference between Durant

The difference between Durant and Lebron is though Durant is younger, I believe Lebron hasn't reached the potential that his physical gifts has given him.

nice list heres mine

Lebron- Most talented player in the league. Not a fan of his bu ti don tlie about talent when i see it.

Kevin Durant- Hes reached superstar status and can only continue to climb until he reaches top player in the league status. In 2 years i think the thunder are the team to beat and hes the reason why.

Dwight Howard- He does so much and still doesnt ge tenough appreciation form the fans for wat he does. Only the coaching staff and true fans of the game understands what he brings. People undervalue defense and rebounding. He can only go up with a slowly developing post game.

Kobe Bryant- I almost didnt put him on this list. I figured becuz of his declining game and getting up in age. and watching the lakers play you can see that he just cant guard the more elite guards in the league like dwyane wade anymore, they just blow right past him. Then i remembered........this is kobe f*ckin bryant! the greatest self motivator ever. He will no doubt find away to get his teammates to buy in to wat hes selling and get back to that championship form.

Deron Williams- As THE best point god in the league hes stil doesnt get the love he deserves from the casual fan. Kenny and Charles are giving him his due and people still dont understand how good he is. Now im prob biased becuz hes my fav player but still He does so much for his team. They literally could not click without him. And anybody who has to guard him on any given nite understands why he is the toughest pg matchup in the league

@ jammin lemon

Atleast I know one thing, Durant will never quit on a playoff series regardless of how bad his team is losing. Look back at last year's playoffs between Cavs vs Celtics, you can see Lebron's body language that he quit on that series and he had his mind set that he was done playing for the Cavs during that series.

No doubt Kevin Durant

No doubt Kevin Durant (barring injury) will have a great career, he's got tons of talent, length, shooting touch and is a very humble and dedicated player, but I wonder how he will perform when his athleticism begins to deteriorate with age. I love him as a player, but I can't help but think of a more talented Sam Perkins when I try to imagine Kevin Durant as an older player.

Actually, Durant reminds me

Actually, Durant reminds me of a Kobe more than anyone I've seen. Don't get me wrong game-wise skillset O.J. looks much more similar to young Kobe. Difference is that Durant is much more similar to the Kobe we all see today. Killer instinct, doen't go out and party much, kills you cerebrally, always developing and working on his skills. Takes pride in being the best and isn't afraid to fail with the game on the line because he doesn't think failure is an option. Plus he wants to be Kobe/Jordan, not Pau/Pippen.

I think Durant is a very,

I think Durant is a very, very good player and already top 5 in the league...but, I don't really get where all this clutch, killer-instinct stuff is coming from.

The dude has played in one playoff series in his short career, and didn't play very well. I'm sure he will do much better in the future, but it's not like he's shown himself to be an incredible playoff/clutch performer.

I think Durant will be better, but the player he reminds me of more than Kobe at this point is Mcgrady.

No, not particularly good

No, not particularly good when you are shooting 35 percent from the field and 28 percent from 3.

"crouch time" Hahahaha. If

"crouch time"

Hahahaha.

If Durant played up to his normal level they would have won that series, they were soo close...So atleast I'll give him that his team pushed the eventual champion to the limit.

Once again, Durant being more

Once again, Durant being more clutch than Lebron isn't based on anything at all, other than your biased opinion. Lebron has proven time and time again that he steps up in the playoffs. In 08-09 he had one of the best playoff series of all time agains Orlando. He has hit numerous game-winners and is statistically the clutchest player in the league.

Durant has done absolutely nothing to prove that he is as clutch as you make him out to be. That's not to say that he won't in the future, but that's just speculation. The fact that you like Durant better doesn't magically make him a better player than Lebron James, or for that matter, a more clutch player than Lebron.

1 Lebron 2 D Rose 3 D Wade 4

1 Lebron

2 D Rose

3 D Wade

4 Kobe

5 Dirk

Explanation:

Lebron is easily the best player

D Rose is the most valuable player to his particular team. He makes a completely mediocre supporting cast a semi-contender. Noah and Boozer played like 5 games together...only about 3 of them did Boozer actually look like a pro basketball player. If Noah is healthy and they trade for a real 2 guard this team might be the best in the east. He has transcended his game, mainly making games end with victories, as well as putting up some ridiculous numbers. Too good to even be considered a PG he does so much for his team.

Wade is still unstoppable almost all of the time. I would like to see him step up against the cream of the crop more often rather than dropping 40 on all the bad teams, but you still cant argue with production and his finals MVP.

Kobe is the most accomplished (Outside maybe TD) active basketball player. He is older so I think he is on a downswing but he still is an assassin late in games and you can easily win a title with him as your best player

Dirk is similar to Rose in that his value to his team is unimaginable. There 2nd best player is Jason Terry. Whose 3rd? i have no idea...he has that team winning games night in and night out and you cant argue with what he has done in his career....an MVP award....a trip to the Finals.
