qDizzle32ParticipantI’ve been really impressed with his performance this year. Averaging 15 points and over 6 assists a game. Remember watching him play at Oak Hill Academy predicting how big of an impact he would have a Duke. Got limited minutes his freshmen year sharing the backcourt with Rivers, Curry and Thornton. Last year played a lot more minutes, good but not outstanding. Definitely improved lots from last year. With Tyus Jones coming in, that would take away minutes from Cook running the point so it seems like there’s a good chance he could come out this year. What range would he likely get picked from if he declares?

qDizzle32ParticipantAlso had 8 steals last night against UCLA. His defense has improved more than any other part of his game.

aivsdirkParticipanthe should also limit the number of unforced three’s he takes in a game. other than that i like him to be a 1st round pick when he comes out. He plays with a better medium between distributing and shooting than most point guards, in college. i think he’ll be really good solid pg in the nba.

WolfRobParticipantI think he’s a borderline NBA player. Id take someone like Pierre Jackson over him and he can’t find a home on an NBA roster… Yet.

qDizzle32ParticipantThe only reason why Pierre Jackson hasn’t been called up is because the Pelicans are the only team that is allowed to since they hold his rights. You really think he could average 30 ppg and not get called up?

surveParticipantCook is a 2nd rounder at best if he comes out. This is no disrespect to him but he is going to struggle athletically. He is pretty average in every aspect except for IQ maybe. He is a smart player. I just think he is a college player and has limited NBA upside. He definitely could be a solid backup if the right teams get him. As far as Duke is concerned though…believe it or not…Cook may be their most important player outside of Parker…maybe even equally. If Cook gets hurt, they are up shits creek because Thornton is garbage.

qDizzle32ParticipantI was never a fan of Thornton. He can’t play offense to save his life, Suliamon deserves to take some of his minutes.

Chitown Finest2ParticipantCoach K does a good job duplicating roles of former players. He reminds me a lot of when Chris Duhon was there… Nice defender, a lack of size with a ok 3 ball, solid intangibles with a high IQ. He can sneak into the end of the first next year, but I see nothing but him being in the 31-40 pick but he will definitely be drafted.

JNixonParticipantHe can be a 2nd rounder. He’s solid overall but doesnt have a single real standout skill. He’s really grown up alot, because when he was in HS he was a bit more of a scoring type guard than he is now. He runs Duke’s offense pretty well and has grown in his ability to run the team.
