Quincy Miller, Thoughts on his NBA future?

He was a top five top 5 recruit, coming out of H.S. . Tore his ACL. Played ok at Baylor when Perry Jones went down with his injury, left Baylor too early and slid to the Second Round of the Draft (Drafted by the Denver Nuggets). He now plays in the NBA D-League for the Iowa Energy and puts up very avg. numbers, for someone that was suppose to be the next KD coming out of High School. Will Quincy Miller ever amount to anything in the NBA with the Nuggets, or is it Europe or China for him (ala Terrico White, Terrence Williams)? I think he will be kind of a cross between Rashard Lewis & Austin Daye as a player, but its hard to tell right now. What are your thoughts on Miller? Thanks

He made the mistake of

He made the mistake of leaving too early. I think he'll eventually have to fight his way to stay in the league in the near future. He has talent, but since he was a 2nd rounder, the Nuggets aren't that financially invested in making sure that he pans out. I think in order for him to stick he's gonna have to at least become an above average shooter since he lacks quickness and body strength.

Right now he's stuck in one

Right now he's stuck in one of the deepest team in NBA (Nuggets). Gallanari, Chandler, and Brewer are all ahead of him in depth chart. His future may not be with his current team because of that. I think he has what it takes to eventually be a starting SF if given the proper playing time to develop.

stupid idea

Here's a crazy idea, not thought out throughly or anything. What if freshmen that were drafted in the second round could return to school and the team that drafted them would get a compensation pick the next year, kind of like the mlb in a way.

I am 100% for this, or

I am 100% for this, or allowing everyone a chance to go through the predraft workouts and still being able to return to college. Right now the guys can get 1 maybe 2 workouts in with NBA teams before they have to decide whether or not to stay in the draft. If he would have been able to work out for 5 to 10 teams and went to the NBA combine NBA scouts and teams would have been able to tell him if he was NBA ready and he would have a better idea where he was going to go in the draft if he left.

I think he would of been a top 5 pick haad je stayed. The talent and tools are there wit the work ethic and his athleeticism is back. The kid is 6'10 wit a.massive winspan, hops n ball handling. Reminds me Paul Geore as a propect I still think he has a high ceilimg.

I think if he stayed

he would have been Pierre Jackson personal rebounder. I do agree that he needs to get off that team for a chance. I also think hes quickness and strength will improve. Hes still young

Long story short he just

Long story short he just should've stayed in school. Worked on his game and develope by getting stronger, better overall fell for the game. Now with that MBA check coming in does a kid that young minded find time to get better? I guess time will tell

i agree with everyone who has

i agree with everyone who has said he shouldve stayed in school, if he had stayed Baylor wouldve have been a contender IMO and also i think he wouldve been thier best player(better than jackson n austin) and couldve been a lotto pick. I dont really think he has much of an nba future..he will prob play in bits and pieces for a few years then go make his $$ overseas. I just dont see why he would leave when perry jones was better than him and scouts were even leary about him. dosnt make much sence but i think hes a case of 'listening to the wrong people' wish him the best tho! BTW it is very scary to think about Baylor IF PJ3 and Q stayed..i think they couldve won the national championship

Q. Miller NBA future?

None!!! He really doesn't have good ballin skills. True he has great size and wing span, but I won't guard him outside the key, cuz he can't hit a shot from there. He's not really a team player. But he will make some cash playing over in China or South America, which is cool.

That's funny I just had a dream about him

I had the craziest dream last night. I was in the parking lot at the Pepsi Center asking Quincy Miller for his autograph. He then walked over and shook my hand. I then said "I've always liked you as a player but I honestly think you should have stayed at Baylor, so you wouldn't of had to been a second round pick as a freshmen". He then said "F*ck you punk" and threw me on the ground. I got back up and he put me in a headlock. Then I cheap shotted him in the balls and he let go of me. As I pinned him on the ground, I started banging his head against the concrete until his whole face was scraped and covered in blood. Then Javale McGee came and pulled me off of Quincy. Then I woke up and now Quincy Miller is my new least favorite player in the NBA.

I think if Miller can find

I think if Miller can find his niche he will be alright. Hickson was starting to look like a bust until he went to Portland and average a double double. Also Miller is young and Denver don't need him so they could be patient with him if they can keep him around for cheap.

Earl Clark is another player who did not show promise if phoenix, showed some signs in Orlando but nothing close to what he is doing in LA.

Quincy Miller and Perry Jones

Quincy Miller and Perry Jones were way too overhyped on this site. You couldn't say a bad word about either one of them without getting shut down or negged.

I remember getting severely negged by saying I doubt either of them would be quality starters in this league.
