MopgrassParticipantWhy hasn’t anybody signed Quincy Miller yet? The Pacers or Lakers could surely use him. He was waived on the 27th and the 10 day waiver period ended. Takers? Lakers would have to waive Ronnie Price (yes) or Wayne Ellington. Somebody, let’s make this happened.

Lotto StudParticipantI’m not coming out of the wood-works now because he’s out of the league. I sat back and observed many of Miller’s posts over the last few years within this forum since his HS days. As many of us are quick to hop on YouTube for a few mixtape clips, I surely took it upon myself to see what all the fuss was about at the time. Even then, I didn’t see anything to make me say he would be "It". Although Miller was really slow in style of play and showed no Superstar dominance as a 6’9" wing player that has some type of guard skills when it comes to handling the ball, I was more impressed with his teammate Deuce Bello.
We all know Miller had the one down year due to injury but even still, I didn’t see anything while at Baylor to say he was "It".

MopgrassParticipantI’m not saying he’s KD or anything, but he’s might be better than a Wesley Johnson or a Hollis Thompson and therefore should have been signed days ago.

Lotto StudParticipantDarius Washington > Sebastian Telfair but that does not mean he was due to get looks.

GBeeParticipantwhy do people think he’s actually good?
quincy really has no position in the league. he’s the worst type of tweener. doesn’t shoot it well and is too slow, weak and poor defensively for either forward position. on top of that he isn’t a high iq player so that limits his role player potential. what role could he actually play? a weak stretch without a respectable shot? an inefficent, off the bench scorer? those dont really sound like roles.
he should be trying to latch on in china.

Anton123ParticipantAm I the only guy who likes Quincy? I thought he looked really good in the summer league and showed a much improved jumper, I don’t see how he can’t work as a strech four, he’s 6’10” with good length and enough strength to handle many of NBA’s PFs (how many physical PFs are their right now?). He could use his handles and quickness to get around many bigs.
For a wing player he isn’t quick enough or a good enough shooter, yes, but I think he has a place in the league.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantQuincy Miller has to be on the same level as Hollis Thompson, right?…I always liked Miller as a 6th man/fringe starter, but he has to take this set back to refocus on improving his outside jump shot and ball handling ability, he can come back better than he was IMO, if Gerald Green made it back so can Q Miller…

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantI think he’ll make it back and supposedly the Lakers have interest. But Quincy is 6’10" with a 7’1" wingspan. He’s shown he can block shots, play passing lanes, pass, dribble, and shoot it. He really has all of the tools except elite athleticism, but he is an above average athlete. Quincy Miller’s problem is he was on the Nuggets, a team loaded with talented NBA wings and he has been really inconsistent. Talented kid always has been, was called a poor man’s KD. I mean look what PJ3, has people believing in his talent again. There are a ton of players in the NBA who don’t have is talent.
Like the Scare Crow Rises said, if Gerald Green can make it back so can Quincy Miller.

nill650ParticipantEver since his injury he never has been the same. So now the promise of his hype will never be found.
He did not play up to expectations in college…He has failed to earn a role in this league, but I attribute that to being stuck on a denver team with more athletic sf/pf ahead of him.
He should have been picked up by somebody, but as it stands its a little early to completely write him off. Let him get a job in the D-League and prove he deserves the playing time at this point, otherwise sorry, nice to know you.

King CaluchaParticipantThere’s no way the Lakers could waive either Price or Ellington… both have been decent (considering the terrible level displayed by the team).

elliotmcadooParticipantHe’s not going to the Lakers but Miller will find a spot in the NBA. He has size and too much talent and is very young still. Never fully got back to that athletic kid he was as a junior in high school but he’s still athletic. Someone will take a shot on him there was just too many people on the Nuggets who played where he plays and drafting Gary Harris getting Aaron Afflalo back as well as a healthy Galinari won’t help getting playing time.
